MAC - Love that Look Discussion

i'm trying to decide if i want smoke and diamonds... keep looking at the swatches and it is pretty looking....

but i know i am almost certaintly going to get one off, rated r and fashion groupie so not sure if money will allow it! i also need to save for my holiday to paris which is in spetember!

rated r looks amazing though!!!

My list so far involves most of the products, as I wasn't into MAC when Starflash came around the first time!

I'm curious, one of the promo pics is of a load of the eyeshadows in pan form. Does this mean we will be able to buy them in pan form or am I reading too much into the image?

annoyingly i think it's purely for the promo image. i'd love to think we'd get the limited edition stuff in pan form but i don't think they ever will

If they were to be permanent and take the place of the matte2 shadows, they could be available in pan form....

But I am very excited for this collection. A lot of collections didn't appeal to me at all (Sugarsweet, Rose Romance, Style Warrior...) and I really didn't buy Mac since Hello Kitty I think! Now I can finally look forward to a collection! I want a Back-up of Grand Entrance, and Smoke and Diamonds, Unbasic White and Style Snob.

Perhaps I will try the brown and black liner, too. Do they really really stay? Because nothing stays on my waterline, even though I don't have oily or extreme watery eyes.

^ these are def. not waterline safe as they contain glitter, which if it got into your eye, could injure it

The Pearlglide eyeliners aren't safe for the waterline because of the glitter in them! I wouldn't use them on the waterline.

Like Jeanette said, the matte2 are going and I am very sorry to see them go

I saw a dip in my S&D today. Hope the Starflash shadows stay. My favorite finish.

That would suck if the Matte2 eyeshadows disappear from the stores and online. I recently purchased three of them in pan form and I haven't used them yet. I will give them a try when I get another Pro Pan Eyeshadow Palette.

However, I'm excited about the Pearlglides! I cannot believe that I missed out on it in the Suite Array collection since I passed on the eyeshadow duos.

They are phasing Matte² out?! Oh my, I need a back-up or two of Typographic, and a few others! Typographic is THE eyeshadow I grab for, when I want something dramatic but not too dramatic for going out. I use it practically every weekend! No No No! Mac, why are you doing this to me?! *placing an order*

Oh well, I totally forgot about the not-safe-for-the-waterline-because-of-the-glitter-thing - sorry! I guess I will safe the money and invest in Typographic

I ordered 2 Typographics (Back-ups), 1 Blanc Type (Back-up), 1 Handwritten, 1 Graphology and 1 Copperplate! I can't be without my mattes!
Plus, I love to pair mattes or satins with Starflash e/s. Today for example I wear Grand Entrance on the lid with Remotely Frey (Satin) in the crease. Very soft, shimmery on the lid but mixed with the almost matte-finish of Remotely Grey in the crease it looks amazing! Mac can't trade Starflash with Matte², they look too good together

but ok, i am with u..because i past last year on starflash because i bought 6 mineralize blushes from sonic chic.....
but this time this will not happen again....
i want nearly all the e/s + backup of S&D....and black russian
...just hopping that the e/s will have great color payoff and are unique colors!

and i will go to mac soon to buy maybe fig1, typograpghic, prussian, blanc type, tete-a-tint, copperplate and handwritten depending on the color payoff before they are gone forever...

Actually, there are times I do want the entire collection and I end up getting things that catches my eye and people who enable what items are a must-have. I'm so glad that your with me! I'm going to be teasing and enabling everyone on here!! When I order online, I'm going to do the Overnight shipping.

I don't get why Mac would get rid of the Matte2 shadows. Why not dump the reg. matte shadows and replace them with Matte2? They're so much better than regular mattes. It just doesn't make sense for Mac to dump a vastly superior product and keep a mediocre one.

and I need to pick up backups of Copperplate, Blanc type and Graphology, if this is true. Argh!

i agree SMMY. mattes are poos compared to the matte2.

i think i will only pick up smoke and diamonds, and a coloured pearlglide. must.save.for.fall.quads!

i'm totally on board with saying the mattes suck! newly minted is the worst. try blending it a little and the whole thing comes off! wtf?!
