Re: MAC - MAC for Manish Arora Discussion
I can't tell if anyone replied b/c I haven't been able to view pg 98... been trying since last night. Oh well but I *think* that they just shipped out orders to people who had already put them in with whatever restock they got. I never saw it appear back on the MAC site, but I got an e-mail from cust service saying they were shipping my stuff out (when previously they had e-mailed me to say they were out of stock).
And wonderful wonderful spektrette is hooking me up with the palate, but its nice that I now get everything else I ordered too. I think maybe they were just going through in the order of time was submitted or something?

Re: MAC - MAC for Manish Arora Discussion
Well I am ashamed of myself. I wanted so desperately to get this Pallet that I broke down and paid way way to much for it on EBAY. I wasn't able to buy it directly from MAC. I was happy to get it but I can tell the seller swatched Nylon at the very least, and all but Deep Truth looks like it might have been repressed? How can you tell? The product doesn't go all the way to the top of the pans, and their all little squished out peices on the edges of the pans, not much bet noticeable if you look close. I looked at some photo's of other pallets on spectra, Manish ones, and I see some of those pans look simular. I think this is just the way the product came. What do ya'll think?

Yes, my pallet is the same and I bought mine off the MAC website.

Mine is exactly like that too... and I bought it from MAC. That sucks that a shadow was swatched though.

The eye palette tester samples at both the MAC counter and store that I visited were messy at the sides of each rectangular pan. Just like what is described. It is unlikely to be caused by swatching as fingers are too thick to go into all the edges. Guess it was manufactured like this. But my Colour Forms: 5 Cool Eyes palette wasn't so messy at the edges. The eyeshadows are also housed in rectangular pans.
Clickable pics to show my CF palette. I remember the Eyes on Manish palette looked very "crumbley" along the edges.

Re: MAC - MAC for Manish Arora Discussion
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, bit I’m kinda new and not sure but here it goes…..I bought the manish arora palette directly from MAC Soho but I’m not too crazy about it and know I will not use it (I have most of the colors anyway). So I was wondering if I could swap it for some blushes……

you could. But, there are soo many people that missed out on this collection, & returned items go straight into the B2M bin. Maybe sell it ebay, clearance bin, craigslist, etc. You could even get more than what you paid.
more $$=more blushes

I got mine at the Pro store and it looked over caked, the sides were messy and Deep Truth swiped through also. They just opened the box... It was rush or negligence in processing. I wouldn't worry too much about them being tampered with.
MAC really needs to have some sort of tamper proof seal though. I am sure lots of the product was returned due to this.

Re: MAC - MAC for Manish Arora Discussion
I find the messy state of the palettes to be a bit shameful - it's just sloppy and totally unnecessary. It certainly doesn't look good. Mine's not too bad, but it is rather dusty (from the shadows) and a bit uneven.

No regrets that the palette was already sold out when I went to the counter and store, although it was what I planned to get from this collection.

They are! I especially like Nylon, Bitter and Going Bananas. Oh well, more money for other collections. Enjoy your palette!

Mine came like this also, it was really messy when I opened the pallet.
I also CP'd one for another girl, I hope she doesn't think I opened it or anything. I opened the delivery box to check both items were there but never looked inside the product boxes.

It's a beautiful bright coral orange. But, you can sheer it out with just one application. Its really very pretty on.

Ooh I'm looking forward to the pics Bunny!!
My palette was a little messy too, but mainly little specs of Bitter on the mirror. I still love it though, even if only for Going Bananas
