I agree. That is the only reason I want that quad and I can't bring myself to spend the money on it. Especially when I already own 2 of the colors....

Re: MAC x Ungaro collaboration discussion
Then for my wish : a lavender paint pot and a pink one, matte but still fully pigmented.
AND PIGMENTS !!!! not neutral ones.. there is already a bunch of them.. colorfull ones (yeah I love colors a lot I know) but its stronger then me.. a hint of a bright color in a smokey eye or with browns is sooo nice.[/quote]<------------this is a quote :-)
i absolutely agree,i love Pigments,too.
and i want bright Pigments, just the ones they sell at PRO stores....
A bright Canary Yellow Pigment would be great, and more blue Pigments...
And maybe a red one....
love color, neutrals are sometimes a bit boring...

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
Alright everyone, I found some info on the Ungaro collection.
"Mac is teaming up with Ungaro's Esteban Cortazar. The Ungaro colors, set to debut this fall, will feature a "softer palette of delicate shades of pinks, blues and lilacs" said MAC make-up artist Sharon Dowsett: "It's a colorful collection but very transparent so you don't have to worry about overdoing it."
I have to say this will be a 180 degree turn away from their Heatherette collection, though personally I like my make-up theme to revolve around "too much" to match my over-the-top dresses. Ha!"

"The 14-item MAC Emanuel Ungaro lineup, which is slated to launch in October, includes lipsticks and lip glosses, eye shadows and liner, cream color bases, blush, mascara and a brow set. The collection, which ranges in price from $11 to $22, could generate retail sales of $2 million according to industry sources."

(check out the site, they have 3 pictures that may give us a clue as to what colors and looks we can expect)

Hmmm, if that's the case, I can probably pass on 90% of the collection. I really don't do 'delicate' colors and I just have a love affair with doing my makeup over the top! lol

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
If this is basically just The N Collection 2: The Reckoning, then I'll pass. Those runway looks are so blah! Maybe the packaging will convince me to get a few items?

I'm actually pretty excited. I like lighter colors, especially for daytime. I loved the N collection. It suited me well. I really think this will be good for my pale skin.

Haha, yeah! That was the point! Hehee.
Don't get me wrong, neutral and natural looks suit so many women (and men). But I like collections to be special, and new, and range from neutral and soft to hard and dramatic all in one. I feel like the N Collection was just so limited in the looks that could be achieved. I felt the same way about Sweetie Cakes. But that's just me.

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
Well normally I hate neutrals but I do love pastels. I just would do more with colours I already have to make it powerful enough for me.
And if there is special packaging...

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
I don't even think special packaging can talk me into pastels, the only thing I might buy is a lipstick or two

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
I posted some swatches of the Crushed Rose (wn) lipglass in the swatch forum.
Pastels in the fall.. who knew. But I like what I have thus far.
Crushed Rose l/g borders a cherry/rose and gives off a sheer hint of color.
I can't wait to see the rest of the collection.

Hmm, I hear you. Pastels are a little harder to pull off on darker skintones because they aren't often pigmented enough, and if these are supposed to be "transparent", I'll have a hard time making that work. I did like Danse though, but those pastels packed a little punch IMO.

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
I have seen the colour story!
First let me tell you that the visual isn't very awesome. It's a closeup of a very plain model's face on the left side, with a knee and up photo of a dress presumably designed by Ungaro. It has to be the most unflattering angle of that dress because the model's boob is half hanging out. It's a shot of her left side and the dress stops at about 3/4s of her boob. It's just... stupid and a little offensive looking. =/ I don't think people will appreciate it much.
I didn't take any notes on the colors, but they are all neutral and neutral-pastel. There is a lilac eyeshadow color. The Paint Pot sounds pretty, a shimmery nude beige but that seems like the stand out product. There are three very blah sounding Cream Colour Bases (a product I'm not a big fan of anyway). Freckletone lipstick is being repromoted with this collection, and even though it is part of the permanent line, it had a symbol next to it indicating that it is a new shade. This leads me to believe that this collection has some kind of special packaging, since all repromotes in special packaging are considered "new" shades in the colour stories.
There is the interesting inclusion of Mink Brow Set which is described as just "Brown". That's one item I would like to see because I feel like Show-Off is a little dark on me sometimes.
This collection will be available in Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstroms, and MAC stores among others. It will not be available through Macy's.

I don't really care for the boob, but I think that the Lilac e/s and the paint pot sound awesome! Thanks for the information....

You had me at lilac! And that shimmery nude beige paint pot is just icing on the cake for me!
I do think these pastels are a bit odd for fall, though. Not what I typically think of wearing when the weather turns chilly. But I don't mind icy pastels for winter. Kinda winter wonderland-esque.

Re: MAC - MAC for Ungaro Discussion
I am not that impressed - I don't like pastels and neutrals very much. More money for the holiday collection and the mineralized produchts in fall!
