MAC - Mineralize (Mineral Line Expansion) Discussion

I hope the semi-permanent line of MES will be duos, then I will have more resistant against them. If it is something similar to Flashtronic ones, then I will be dead meat.

So...it sounds like they are STILL limited edition. They just stay on at the counters for a longer time. But, you know, once they're gone, they're gone.

Alright! I saw the colour story today! It is described as "The House of Minerals" and will have everything mineral for the mineralize fanatics!

Due out on October 16, 2008, Mineralize Skinfinish/Loose SPF 15, Mineralize Satinfinish, Mineralize Skinfinish Natural will of course be featured but there will also be alot of new things introduced. I do not have the physical book with me (YET) so I don't have the exact details, but I did take notes on the most note-worthy items.

According to the description, there will be 6 "best-selling" Mineralize Blushes featured, though the actual colour story lists all nine. This leads me to believe that the most popular items will be the ones featured and since they have not even been released yet, there is no way to know which will be there. The description of the collection also mentions two Shimmer Skinfinish shades will be made permanent. The actual colour story mentioned no "Shimmer" powders, nor did it mention any normal Mineralize Skinfinishes so they must still be unsure of which ones being featured. Perhaps the Soft And Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish from Sheer Minerals, since that one had a symbol next to it indicating it being permanent in that colour story. A little confusing but still exciting!

Also, there will be repromoted Mineralize eyeshadow duos. Described as being the best-selling eyeshadows of the past, there will be three A Muse duos, and three Antiquitease duos. The colors featured are as follows:

Engaging
Earthly Riches
Family Silver
Heat/Element
Illusionary/Burning Ambition
Brightside/Gallery Gal

This is great for anyone that missed these awesome shades! I can't help but notice that the mineralize single shadows from Flashtronic being missing (I loved those ones), and also the ACTUAL best seller from Antiquitease, Mi'lady. Perhaps we will see more older shades being repromoted later in the future?

blah, why is earthly riches being repromoted? there is a boatload of them @ my cco and ebay. doesn't that mean it was not popular i have it and love it but i want mi'lady. i'm super annoyed that it won't be repromoted. hopefully, it comes back in the near future.

I'm usually not a big fan of mineral items (it seems like soooo many brands are releasing them) but these are making me happy!

I can get Earthly Riches and Family Silver! WOOO! I am glad to hear that 6 of the 9 blushes will be back in the fall! I feel less pressured to buy all of the ones I want from Sonic Chic knowing that I can get (most of) them again in a few months.

Bunny, do you know if the 181se will be repromoted or made permanent at that time?

I am so glad that Heat/Element is being repromoed since that is the only duo, besides Mi'Lady, that really appeals to me. I would have given up a lot for Lovestone though to be repromoed.

yay for the 3 a muse shadows! i loved that collection. now if only they'd bring back new weed and graphic brown fluidline... and make them permanent! along with lithograph. then i'd be super happy!

I have the three from Antiquitease (good taste ) so I will buy at least two from the A Muse collection!

This is great news for all who missed out on these or for those who wanna get backups. For me, I already have all the MES which is listed above. But still I am going to get a backup for Illusionary/Burning Ambition.

Though I start collecting MAC last year, I am very lucky to buy the whole lot of BNIB Amuse MES at a special price of $13.50 each.

I am also surprise that Mi' Lady is not one of the repromotes. Even more surprising is, my local counters still have Mi' Lady in stocks!

In a way, I am glad that there are no repromotes of Flashtronic MES because I had bought plenty of them last year. But think I need a couple more of By Jupiter for collection purpose, prefer to choose the veinings myself IRL.

You know, now that you say that I forgot to mention that it looked like about 6 brushes will be featured in this line. I didn't notice which exact ones, but it was a big list of brushes! I am going to Update on Tuesday so I'll make sure to fill you all in then!

ok it seems like everyone is jumping on the mineral wagon whihc is great! however i've been too scared to buy ANY brand of mineral make up because i've hear it breaks people out. so does the mac mineral stuff break people out less than other brands? or am i just being very paranoid!!!

After just getting my 1st ever Mineralize blushes from Sonic Chic, I'm in love! Can't wait to see what ones will be here. Will take a look at the shadows, but I really wanted Mi'Lady

i'm really excited with the idea of a mineralized section being perm, with changing stock every few months. its nice to know they'll be there for X period of time so you can have time to budget if necessary or that the stock will change and you'll have new mineralized delights to ogle over! I'm very much liking this! (I like change and "perking" things up so this'll be nice, IMO)

I am still bummed that we have not heard confirmation about petticoat yet. I really hope that will be brought back. I am excited that all of these MES shadows are coming back. I love family silver and earthly riches. I am quite suprised about mi'lady not coming back. I hope that they bring that back in the future. I can't wait to hear more information when Bunny gets back from update! Man I wish I could be a fly on the wall during a MAC update!

Bunny did confirm Petticoat is coming back! It's in the Sheer Minerals thread. That one and So Ceylon and a new one that will supposedly be permanent!
