Re: MAC - Mineralize Line Discussion
Bunny, when I posted my gratitude to you in the "Any questions" thread, that was before reading this one. Oh. My. GOSH. Reading this update info has totally gotten me back into MAC excitement! Oversaturation in the last couple weeks had turned me a bit cold but with word of Illusionary/Burning Ambition coming back.... !!!!! It's the only one I haven't gotten my hands on and dang is it hard to do so! I'm soooo glad I can get it for decent retail now.

I'm with you on this 200%!! All three of those f/l's should DEFINITELY be made permanent! I've gotta try this one out again but New Weed underneath Aquadisiac which sounds strange but looks so intriguing. =D

Btw, I LOVE Earthly Riches. I'm not surprised it counts as a best seller. That duo is the BEST for a sexy smoky eye!

Re: MAC - Mineralize Line Discussion
I guess MAC brings back the MES duos is for the sake of major consumers. It is more value for money comparing to Flashtronic or Rococo ones, you know *2 e/s in 1*. The majority consumers most probably wont not know that the different veinings will causes color difference. And also the Flashtronic ones can create a whole eye look with just a single shadow. Only us Specktratees knows all these tips

Re: MAC - Mineral Line Expansion and Displayer Discussion
Can I ask, what is the point of repromoting things that are permanent? Wont these brushes be exactly the same as the ones that we can buy at any time? Sorry if its a silly question...I only got into MAC around January this year.

Usually when they repromote brushes, it's because those particular brushes are the best ones to use with the products in the collection. I think it's because putting them on the display with the products brings them back into the forefront of the shoppers mind. Personally, the last thing on my mind when new, exciting stuff comes out, are brushes so I usually ignore them anyways

i think mac promote certain items from the permanent collections because it works well with the LE line or they just want ppl to pay more attention to the great products from the permanent line (we often neglect the permanent items thanks to all the never ending LEs )

Thanks Bunny! *sniff sniff* No 181se rempromote? Or is that with the Sheer Minerals collection? Or not at all after Sonic Chic? I am getting so confused... is this a totally seperate collection from Sheer Minerals, or are they one in the same?

This is a repromotion of the Mineralize Satinfinish, Mineralize Skinfinish Loose, Mineralize Skinfinish/Natural, Mineralize Blushes, Mineralize Eyeshadow, and apparently Mineralize Shimmer Powders. Sheer Minerals is a limited edition collection repromoting the Mineralize Skinfinish/Loose, and new limited life SheerSheen Loose highlighting powder, and 2 limited life Mineralize Skinfinish, and one permanent. I'm not sure if they will be featured on the same unit or not. Probably seperate since the 'House of Mineralize' stand is going to be all the permanent items, whereas the Sheer Minerals display will feature the repromotes and the limited edition highlighters. Hope that helps!!!

Re: MAC - Mineralize Line Discussion
I'm excited for the A Muse duos. I have all except the white/charcoal one, which I have no desire to acquire anyway. I am stoked for Heat/Element since the one I bought from a lovely Specktrette has been well loved and I will definitely need another one. I really hope they bring back the Rococo single MES at some point. I'd love to get some of those since the only one I have is Whim. I also hope they bring back more of the cult skinfinshes like Stereo Rose and Pleasureflush. With the news of Petticoat, though, I think it's at least a possibility! With all these repromotes of rare items, I think MAC has a spy on here and they're finally listening to us!!

I love the fact that some of these MES are going to be semi-permanent. I can't wait to get Burning Ambition. The chocolate brown side is the greatest!

Re: MAC - Mineral Line Expansion and Displayer Discussion
I love my Heat Element from A-Muse, and always regretted not buying Bright Side/ Gallery Gal when I had the chance. I mean, really, really! So I'm pretty stoked about this. And I'd love to try the Illusionary/Burning Ambition as well.
I can't say I was all that impressed with the last two mineral eyeshadow releases. They weren't nearly as nice as the A-Muse one I have, in terms of pigmentation. Though the texture was less flyaway.
I'm hoping this week's collection proves a breakthrough in this line, and that it continues into future mineral eyeshadow releases (including reformulating the ones from last summer and Antiquitease). Unless I'm missing something, I wasn't that impressed with those collections.
[edit] Okay, just going off one duo: I already love the new MES duos! I bought "Green Mix" and already, just messing around with it over my 15 hour old makeup from this morning, I love, love, love the veining, and the opportunities for variation it offers. I love the lime green solid side. I love the pigmentation - very buildable, and the fact that it doesn't chunk out in big hunks of glitter (much smoother, even than my A-Muse MES). This is a thumbs up. And I only intended to buy one or two - now I'm thinking three or four. Arg.
Hopefully these will make it into various rotations as they update the Mineral displays.

Re: MAC - Mineral Line Expansion and Displayer Discussion
I am SOOOOOO excited for this! I am loving all the new mineral stuff Mac is coming out with.
I know this sounds silly but I never actually knew that the mineralize satinfinish foundation was actually mineral! lol! I am wondering whether to try this when I run out of my current foundation

Will this be at the counters, or just the stores? My closest store is about 20 minutes away, and I want the 109 brush really badly!

Re: MAC - Mineral Line Expansion and Displayer Discussion
Speaking as someone who went a bit crazy with A-Muse, Brightside/Gallery and Illusionary/ Burning Ambition are two of the nicest MES ever made. Illusionary/Burning Ambition is a definite must have for both sides of the MES. I agree with Deidre, that the A-Muse MES were so much better than a lot of the MES MAC has recently released. They just glow and are pigment-rich. Sigh.

This MA told me once that they're baked in this small factory and they can't produce as much in a short period of time, which is why they are LE. I THINK she might have also said it was a family ran factory. But I could be making that part up in my head. lol.

Re: MAC - Mineral Line Expansion and Displayer Discussion
it seems to me that MAc keeps repromoting the stuff they couldn't sell last year...is it just me? For exaple Jardin Aires- is there really one person who has not tried this or has it?? I realized it with a few items..i really hope it's going to be the besteller blushes not the 'left-overs'....
