Okay, I broke down and ordered Illegal Cargo LOL. I got a sample of Mutiny so that's it from this collection and I'm actually proud of myself LOL. The three things I bought (Port Red, Lovely Lily and Illegal Cargo) were the things I always said I was getting .

you all are making me anxious for my trip to MAC tomorrow.

i was wondering..how do the MAs decide what makeup to do on you for the NN makeover? do they use the face charts? or do they ask you what colors you're interested in?

On top of the pigments and love knot I ordered online, I picked up Shore Leave, Illegal Cargo, and Port Red today. I loveee this collection, such pretty colors!

i never buy reds, I missed out on Queen's Sin from Antiquitease. I bought Port Red today and it's very very nice and soft, yet bright!

Went to MAC today, wasn't planning on getting ANYTHING from NN as I was there for cleansing oil ONLY (hah.. yeah right!) but came out with that and Ensign l/g! LOL... the MA ringing me up was wearing it with buoy-oh-bouy l/s and I just haadd to ask her It's SUCH a pretty color and I love that it's a lustreglass! I heart it! Man, why do they have to make things LE?! *wants to buy back-up now* LOL....

I bought Ahoy, There! even though it doesn't really show up on me. I also bought Party Mate, but it's too strong a pink for me so I'll be dulling it down with something neutral on top.

As far as the Lustreglass... I got Ensign, which looks prettier in the tube than on my lips... and my real favourite is Love Knot. Such an interesting blue & white duochrome!

I B2M for Illegal Cargo. I still prefer Neutral Pink though.

I started to pass on Port Red. It reminded me of Queen's Sin (which I have) but something was missing. I decided to try it on anyway and I really like it. Very pretty.

no, they aren't. illegal cargo is closest to shale, with illegal cargo being a few shades lighter than shale. IC also has a sheen, where shale has shimmer.

top: shale, neutral pink
bottom: mancatcher, illegal cargo

Everytime I go my MA asks what colors I am interested in and uses those because he says why is he going to use colors on me that I might not like, he would rather create a combo that I can use again. I love him

BTW my budget for NN was $75 and I spent $150! It looked better in person

well, this isn't for NN exactly but when the MA does a makeover on me, they usually use a colour that suits my skintone. but there is one MA who asks first which color I like and then he suggests how i could use the product [ie eyeshadow] on my eyes, etc.

Do you guys think that Love Knot is a very cool color? I am NC15 or lighter and have stonger warm/yellow undertones that make cool colors sometimes difficult to pull off. It looks so pretty in the swatches, but I hate to buy something only to have it not work for me (I hate returning things) and just sit in my traincase. TIA!

Yes, I think so. I was sure to get it but passed it after seeing it in real. It has a very blue duochrome finish IMO and that's what I didn't like. HTH!

I got my NN shipment last night and I love Port Red!! Reminds me of Queen's Sin but a little lighter. My favorite is Party Mate topped with Love Knot!! Party Mate is not as sheer as some lustre lipsticks I have tried and the Love Knot just makes it to die for!!

Oooooooh girls! I did my makeup this morning, and I am LOVING Shore Leave, Submarine and Meet the FLeet! These are fabulous colors and I am so glad I got them. I was worried about MTF being tough to deal with, and since it was over a VP, it blended like a dream I will see if I can find my camera cord, and post some pictures

I would say that it is probably one of the cooler colors, but today I am wearing it over Bouy-o-bouy, and hot damn! I never thought I would like something with a blue/violet finish for lips, but this one is subtle/warm enough for me to pull off. HTH!
