PS - Elegant-One Vanilla is an amazing piggy. Its so versatile!
Here is one more "teal" girl BTW pigment Teal is one of my favourites. Now Mutiny is as well. And don't start talking about Cool Heat... Sigh.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I am wearing Shore Leave on the lid today, with Illegal Cargo in the crease, and Shadowy Lady on the outer V. I really like it. Even my husband said how pretty my makeup was today

As I was at my Mac Counter, I thought Illegal Cargo would be too similar to Neutral Pink, so I did not buy it. But after seeing your pics, I must go to Mac again to check this colour next to my Neutral Pink which I love.
I was really disappointed of Pandamomium, the colour pay off is so bad and it is so glittery, nothing for me...

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
This is sort-of a cut and paste from a post I'd made on MUA, but with added comments. I'm sorry that I can't say much positive about the collection :/
Port Red is too frosty for my liking, and most of the lip colors were pretty ordinary. Not all bad, but nothing I would call a must-have. Though, if I wore pink l/g more often, I might have been tempted by Love Knot. The reflects in LK are gorgeous, so I'm starting to think maybe I should get it.
The eye shadows are some of the worst I've seen in a long time. You know those great big kits of 26 eyeshadows and blushes that you see at drugstores for $5.99? MAC is getting there. The cream-colored veluxe pearl one, Shore Leave was actually decent, but it's hardly unique. If you don't already have one like it though, I really like the finish. I had wanted Submarine but I found it a bit unpigmented and hard to build up the color. Meet The Fleet could have been nice if it had more pigment and went on a little more smoothly.
The nailpolish colors were pretty cool, but I hate MAC's formula and OPI has similar, if not identical, shades in their current India collection. Sometimes MAC puts out nice shades, but, for me, they chip as soon as you breathe or look at them wrong. If you find that MAC polishes work for you, Naughty Nautical, a shimmering blackened cobalt, is gorgeous.
The pigments were the things I was most disappointed with. I'd planned on buying a sample of Mutiny from thebodyneeds, or even a whole jar if I really loved it. In pictures is looks so nice and rich, but I still can't believe what a dry, chunky, gritty mess it was. And it hardly even stuck to my skin, it just brushed around. It makes Kitchmas look smooth, as do Lark About and Lovely Lily (those these were smoother than Mutiny). I found Bell-Bottom Blue to be very dull and frosty, but it might look better applied wet. From listening to others about Mutiny, I think maybe MAC is having quality control issues because some people say they found Mutiny to be like the ones I described, and others have found it to be smooth. Looking at swatches too, some look far smoother than others.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
It was a pleasant surprise to see NN hit Stockholm´s counters now and not three weeks later, which is usual the case! As I love eyeshadows I was immediately drawn to Shore Leave and Illegal Cargo! (I´m not a blue girl). IC I decided on immediately, I´m a sucker for plum-mauve, this shadow will match half of my closet . Shore Leave I swatched, and even put on, and how wonderfully gorgeous that shadow is, it´s not for me! Far to white and silverly, but I loved that beige-mauvy shade it has! Such a classy colour! The lipglosses contrasted that! Call me a snob..but wasn´t that pinky glitter a bit tacky? Or maybe it was just on me..I´ve seen so many gorgeous photos on the swatch forum, but I was disappointed ..

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I just had to add my input on this collection...I LOVE it!! I was definitely not feeling it as first bc I didn't own any blue shadows/pigments [crazy, I know!] so I initially was only going to get Mutiny and BBB. However, I ended up getting all the eyshadows but Submarine [which I'm pretty sure I will end up getting], Mutiny, BBB, Party Mate, and the Smoothblue liner. I adore everything! Shore Leave, of course, is amazing! My fav, however, is BBB! I'm fairly new to MAC and had missed out on all the similar pigments previously released so this one is like BRAND spankin' new for me and SO gorgeous!! I have definitely learned that blue eyes shouldn't stay away from blue shadows!!
I have one question though... I am thinking about getting Ahoy, There, but do you think it will even show up on pigmented lips. I am NW 15, but my lips are pretty dark. THANX!!!

This is exactly how I feel about this collection. I have brown eyes, but in the past haven't liked the look of blue shadows on me, but I actually think it may have something to do with having only tried teal blues, whereas the blues from NN (with the exception of Mutiny) are more straightforward blues. And I also really like BBB, I think this one is quite muted, I think MAC describes it as a 'dirty' blue, which is exactly why I found this one to be really nice.
As for Ahoy, There... it's quite sheer, if your lips are pigmented, it will probably show up more like a tinted balm, but I'm actually off right now to play with everything, and I did pick this up, so I'll let you know. My lips are quite pigmented as well! I purchased it with the intention of using over a liner. I'll report back ASAP!!!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
vcanady, I just tried Ahoy, There. It really doesn't show up too much on, kind of a cool pink with a bit of a sheen to it, that was on it's own. The nice thing about it though is that it didn't wash me out the way some of the more nude lustres and glazes do, (eg, Brew, High Tea, etc) because it had enough pink in it. By looking at your avatar though, I think it would suit you if you're looking for something sheer. My skin is olive-toned, NC25. I will be hanging on to this though, because I think it's pretty enough for those lazy days where I don't feel like putting on much make-up. And it was pretty over Cream O' Spice, and I'm guessing it may look nice over Gingerroot also.
I also played with Shore Leave, Submarine and Meet the Fleet. FINALLY! Blues that actually look nice against my skintone! DH loved it. He noticed Shore Leave mostly, because he said it looked so shiny and silvery!

Thanx! I definitely think I am going to get it! If anything, I like to wear glaze l/s underneath other lipsticks to either tone down my lip color a bit or enhance another l/s shade! I have recently been using 1N this way and I LOVE it under so many lipsticks!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I can really recommend Mutiny on the lid and in the corner and Bell Bottom Blue in the crease together with Smoothblue as a liner!

I had this problem because I used to smoke but i quit so now they're lightening up... any who I put a little burts bee's mixed w/ bare canvas paint or bare canvas paint pot as a base then let it dry some and then applied colors. and Mac Pro has a product called lip erase that works too. Hope this helps

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I wasn't to impressed with this collection. I bought Love Knot and Port Red online (waiting patiently for it to arrive) and I saw them at the counter and thought they were hot! but when I bought some Dazzleglass I picked up Submarine e/s, Mutiny and Lark about samples. Submarine is hard to work with. I really tried, it just didn't work for me so I returned it. I just hate returning items!! but I made it up and got 4 more Dazzleglasses. Plus the Cool Heat colors look 10x better!

What a coincidence. I am doing a FOTD soon with those same colors in the same placement, minus the liner.

I've been faithfully following this thread, but I keep wondering, does Love Knot look like Crystal Rose l/g (DC)?

I have Crystal Rose and have swatched Love Knot. Crystal Rose is much more purple in its base, like a light fuschia, and Love Knot is definitely pink and on the warmer side. I think LK has finer shimmer/reflects too. IMO there's enough difference that if you applied them over, say, Ahoy There, you would get two different outcomes because of the base colour. LK looks to be the prettier of the two! - and actually may give a glossier application.
Hopefully someone who has both of them can confirm this!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
So I just spoke to someone at MAC Live Chat:
info: Hello. Thank you for your interest in MAC Cosmetics. My name is Andrea. How may I assist you?
Jo: Hi Andrea!
Andrea: Hi Jo!
Jo: I'm just wondering when the Naughty Nauticals will come out in Australia?
Andrea: I don't have an exact date, but my notes do say May 08 for international distribution.
Jo: Ahh ok.
Jo: Another question! I have a few friends in USA who are not able to get the postcards from their counters?
Andrea: OKay
Jo: The postcards are just like every collection and free, right?
Andrea: I have not seen the postcards for this collection.
Andrea: Also, not sure if they came out with one for this launch.
Andrea: They are FREE, yes.
Jo: Oh ok. Well, thank you for answering my questions!
Andrea: You're welcome!
Andrea: Thank you for your visit! You may close the chat window by clicking the "Close" button at the top right once. You will be able to request that a copy of this chat be emailed to you as well as answer a few questions about your experience.
Is that why the NN postcards are so rare and only given to people who actually purchase something?

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I'm loving Shore Leave from lash to brow with Illegal Cargo in the crease and Smoke Signal pigment in just the outer crease... (I also used haunting fluidline and a boatload of black mascara, posey blushcreme, porcelain pink MSF, lightscapade MSF all over, and a light pink gloss).
I'm definitely loving Shore Leave and Illegal Cargo.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
soo, i'm warming up to the new shades..today i wore shore leave on lid with illegal cargo in crease & meet the fleet in outer crease/v. it's a weird, frosty smokey look.. didn't think it would end up being so purple and frosty.
love knot is soo gorgeous.. i'm glad i picked it over ensign!
side note--my husband is a sailor and thinks this collection and the product names are weird and rolls his eyes whenever i mention them. lol.
