Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
So alot of people are over NN but I just saw the collection for the first time today! Doesn't it suck having to wait soooo long to see a collection? Yes, yes it does!
Anyways I have read that Lark About is just like to Frozen White, no way. Lark About has a grey undertone as Frozen White is well, white! A different color that I have seen in the past and I'm liking it! Mutiny was pretty. As I guessed before I knew I wouldn't want Lovely Lily and I was right. BBB was okay.
I looooove Love Knot! Shore Leave was pretty too!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I LOVE the new collection. I just picked up Look 2 the other afternoon, and haven't stopped wearing it since. The blues are beautiful, the pale lip is amazing, and the pigments are crazyyyyyy! I love how the colors are so vibrant, yet go on so subtle. I've been looking for a more subtle blue lately, and found it! Gorgeous...

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I personally like Queen's Sin better than Port Red.
I think I'm too yellow in coloring to wear Port Red. It looked kinda orange on me.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I love love knot for its color and duochrome except I hate its sticky/goopy texture. I was hoping that lustreglasses would feel better than lipglasses but they seem to feel the same. I hate how my long hair always gets stuck on my lips. However, I found that lustreglasses are way more longer-lasting than lipglasses are. If only they felt nicer on the lips. I'll probably just avoid all mac lipglasses/lustreglasses from now on...

I don't know if I mentioned this already but BBB looks so gorgeous over Delft p/p when mixed with a MM!!! You can see the sparkles a lot more and it looks like lil diamonds on your eyes

A huge second to that! A great collection for days I want to wear colour but not have it be the first thing noticed on my face.

I really don't like the texture of these lustreglasses, that is why I passed. I was so excited when I heard they were lustreglasses in this collection because I have Instant Gold lustreglass and love the texture. These are MUCH thicker and heavier than even the lipglass. I love the colors, but couldn't get past the texture.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
While I love, love, love - Love Knot, I returned Ensign. I'm not quite sure what it was with it. The color looked great in the tube, but when I put it on, it made my lips look plastic or something - or it reminded me of shiny fish scales reflections (ok don't laugh) It just didn't work
And, you're right, it was very thick

the paint pots are replacing them. this has been know for quite a while now.

Oh really? First I wanted Love Knot but then I decided myself for Ensign (with Hey Sailor) and I don't regret it. Probably our lips are differently pigmented.

I wanted to like it & tried over different l/s, but it just didn't do anything for me. You're right, prolly just a diff. in our lips. And, I never take anything back 'cause I love it all
What did you think of the color of Hey Sailor? I'm not sure why I didn't get that one

This is my favourite one! It is a blue plum pink with white pearls - just how I love it. I prefer pinks (and reds) with blue undertones.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I *love* Ensign, it's definitely got a sheen to it, but the colour just looks so summery and beachy and pretty! It is by far the nicest shade I have come across. I am off tonight to pick up a back up of this. And I really don't do back-ups of glosses! I didn't notice it feeling overly heavy, I find glosses in general feel that way, so this one didn't feel any different.

I feel the same way. I love Love Knot but I returned Ensign cause it just did not look flattering on me. I do find these lustreglasses to be stickier but I like that since stickier glosses tend to last longer on me. I find that with lipglasses and lustreglasses I don't have to reapply as often and I love that.

Mutiny is gorgeous! It applies much lighter than it is in the jar. It isn't as bright on the eye as you'd think. It is very wearable IMO. I think it is an awesome color and I am SO glad I got it

Just to be clear, the paint pots are replacing shadesticks and paints, not fluidlines, right? *holding breath*

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I went back to my local MAC counter to get Port Red and they were all sold out! I am so bummed! I totally got talked in to Love Knot and I am glad I did because it is gorgeous and not at all too sticky IMO. This collection is divine and I am super bummed that I have not gotten port red yet. I wish they would have come out with a red lustre glass kind of like how red romp went with queen's sin. That would have been gorgeous!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
So after some debate, I decided to get Ahoy, There, and I LOVE it! It arrived today and I couldn't wait to try it. I'm so surprised how much I love it! It shows up more than I thought it would on my pigmented lips and gives just the perfect amount of color. It is such a pretty light pink and looks very natural, like your own lips but prettier. I also love the glaze formula on this one, it feels very smooth and mousturizing on my lips. I am so happy I got this and now I'm thinking about a backup!
Also, does anyone not really agree with the maccosmetics.com description of Party Mate? I don't really think this color is a "Sheer midtone pink". I find it to be a bit plummy and looks almost a bit red in the tube. Still love it though!

Port Red all the way. Although, I think Port Red is more suitable and appropriate for the Spring/Summer season.
Whereas Queens Sin looks smart during Fall/Winter. Either way, I pile my clear lipglass on top of these two shades…mmmmm…talk about BITCHY! It’s just soooo rich looking.
I worked the Hell out of my Frida Kahlo look this past weekend complete with the beribboned braids for all the Cinco de Mayo parties wearing Port Red. What Fun! I can already tell that I’m going to “Sail Through” the three tubes I have.
It’s not as warm as what I’d call a “Fire Engine” red. It’s just perfect, especially, if your into pulling off a vintage look.
WARNING: Remember this shade Port Red when the Neo Sci-Fi collection comes out – it will come in handy….trust!
I saw the MAC Face charts for this upcoming collection you are all going to “Keel Over” flat! You read me? Just sayin’!
Sorry for all the Nautical puns, obviously, I’m not quite over this collection just yet…Summer hasn’t even begun!

Port Red! I don't have QS, but from all the pics and swatches I saw (and, of course, the actual l/s) I thought the color to be too heavy for my light coloring. There's just something about PR that works!
