Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
Well I finally got around to play with my Lark About sample, and wow...I like it more than I thought.
I used Macroviolet f/l as a base, lark about in the corners/lid, w/ Jeweltone on outer lid/crease, Mystical Mist in the crease w/ a little more Lark About on the brow bone & Jeweltone and Lark About on the lower lash line. It made a really pretty purple dramatic eye.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I think that illegal cargo looks fantastic with BBB and Lark About...that's how I wore it anyways!
^^
I got all of my NN at a 15% discount because my freestanding store had a friends and family day...how cool is that? I saved thirty bucks! It's also funny because my store was out of the NN blue polish and BBB pigment (thank goodness that was the first one I picked up)!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
i love love love the love knot lustre glass. i haven't tried bateaux yet though. I just read and saw swatches on here and i was like i have to have it and im glad i got it. it's a beautiful pink with blue sheen on my lips and even though i barely use pigmented shades on my lips i couldn't pass this up. I also got meet the fleet because i saw the swatches and it just is a different color then prankster so i caved. i got pandemonium, shore leave, and submarine e/s and bell bottom blue and mutiny pigments. i think im done with this collection and ready for neo sci fi and cool heat now!!

I only got Illegal Cargo and Meet the Fleet but I did a look with Tilt on the lid and IC in the crease with MTF to line. Simple but pretty. I think Moonflower would work well too. Some I haven't tried yet are with Satellite Dreams, Wait Till Dark or Da Bling which I think would work, tho they're not like any of the NN facecharts.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
Review of Lark About pigment:
I am SO SO SO in LOVE WITH THIS PIGMENT.
Although it looks greyish white in the container, when applied on the lids, it actually goes out silverish bluish - lilac. An instant eye brightener. It looks very lovely when worn on its on.... or u can pair it with other colors.
My rating for Lark about: 5/5
I'm surprised that not many people rave about this pigment as I truly feel this is a really pretty pigment that everyone shld have. It has duochromes to it.

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I know I raved about Ahoy, There l/s earlier in this thread, and I had been wearing it all week, but I realized the other day that I only like it with Whirl l/l, otherwise it's actually too cool of a pink on me So I'm thinking of returning this. I did order Buoy-o-buoy l/s, which I think will suit me better. I guess the glazes are not for me.

I'm glad I ordered Whirl lipliner! I actually like Ahoy, There by itself on me, so now I know that I'll prob like it even more with Whirl! And I even got Ensign to go on top! I hope you like Buoy-o-Buoy more tho!!

I totally take back my dislike for Bateaux. What a gorgeous gloss. I did fleshpot plus bateaux today and it is not really bronzey....its just a gorgeous peach color on me. yum. I'm thinkin of a backup

Have you checked online? Not sure about the US site, but I know everything is still available on the Cdn site (with the exception of the NN polish). The two shades you wanted really are great colours!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
Lark About pigment is absolutely gorgeous over Macroviolet fluidline(as a base). It makes the prettiest shiny purple color. I definitely will be wearing it like this OFTEN!!!!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
i went to check out the collection and purchased love knot l/g and got a mutiny pigment sample. I originally thought that I would be getting Ensign, but it just looks so plasticky. (w/ lack for a better term) the blue duochrome is not overpowering for me, and is part of what makes this lipglass so unique. i suppose maybe it's how much you put on....anyway i'm really really happy with love knot.
btw, if anyone's interested, mac in the bay at guildford mall, bc is having a workshop on the 24th with caitlin callahan. fee is $50 redeemable in product (not very tough!)

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I finally went into MAC armed with my Crystal Rose l/g to compare against Love Knot.
On paper, they look completely different (one peach, one pink), but on lips/skin, almost identical! I will safely skip that one now...the savings go straight into the Sonic Chic fund now

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
Since i bought the whole freakin tub of mutiny (and i still have one tub of teal and golders' green pigment and won't be finishing any time soon),
i decided to take a little of each and mix them together to get my own color.
i'm pretty pleased with the color outcome, it's the color of a seafoam green...
I compared it to steamy and it has more silverish undertones to steamy (because of mutiny - mutiny has silverish undertones)...
I didn't know why i named it posseidon. The name jus popped into my head.
Ingredients to make the color:
1/2 serving Mutiny pigment
1/4 golders green pigment
1/4 teal pigment
