Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I am so in love with BBB and I can't believe I almost passed on this!!! Illegal Cargo is pretty too but haven't really used it yet. BBB blends so well and looks amazing in the crease!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
lol I did it! backup of illegal cargo! but shore leave is another one to contemplate. dang it!! My mutiny will last a long time, therefore I'm justifying buying illegal cargo and perhaps even shore leave backups so I can continue this one look I LOVE!
but there will always be more coming down the road--ie i fell in love with neutral pink, then came illegal cargo in (what I think) is a better finish. so now i have backups of them both. I think there will be more appearances of somewhat similar colours. I just received my samples of BBB and Lark About so must play with them to see if I'd ever want a full size jar.

Hey, I just checked the MAC site & they still have Rollicking available
Its sooo pretty on.
Couldn't get the darn thing opened when I got it. Hubby put it in the vice then used one of the rubber belt openers on it...ugh He had pliers on the lid and I kept whining that I didn't want him to ruin the lid or crack the jar. We couldn't quit laughing trying to get it opened without ruining it.

Lol I found it hard to open mine too. A couple of gentle but firm taps on my wooden bookcase did the trick.

I had that problem with the Fafi PP, too.

You can still order Rollickin' on Nordstrom.com and maccosmetics.com.
Do it!
I ordered PP Greenstroke yesterday. It must look great with green-blues like Aquadisiac, Big T or the ones from Cool Heat!

Susanne, I have Greenstroke Its the yellow/gray toned green version of Rollickin. It is one of the prettiest bases. Lightly tap any of your blues/greens/ivories over it...pretty! I use mine over CCB Root, just over the eye for a real soft smokey green look.

I really like it too. I actually bought a back-up. But I don't have Like Venus. I wonder what else works with it?

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
So today I finally decided to use Shore Leave for the first time today and OMG that color is the cat's meow! I also used it with Illegal Cargo and I don't think that shadow looks anything like neutral pink. It showed up really purple on me. I just had to give lots of love to Shore Leave!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
Sooo, I've now had time to play with my piggies!! Overall I am pleased Lovely Lily I've had before so wont comment on.
Mutiny is a LOT like Azreal Blue on me, I actually could have passed, the payoff isnt as pretty as it seems in the jar - well on me at least anyway. The only real benefit over AB is that Mutiny just doesnt have the same high frost to it and thats probably what will compel me to to keep this pigment.
Bell Bottom Blue - was the one I was looking forward to the most, but wasnt the one that really impressed me!!! It is however a lovely texture and colour - I am in love with dark blues, and this one is a keeper
Lark About is the one that impressed me the most - maybe because I was expecting the least from it!! Its not like Frozen White IMHO - the texture is better, the colour is very different and it also has the benefit of losing the high frost that Frozen White seems to have. I find the colour in this is more purpley-mauvey than blue which is perfect, and the colour is also quite subtle - it doesnt jump off your face like Frozen White. I was really hoping for something different and this one for me was the bells and and whistles piggie! I am really very surprised!!!

Re: Naughty Nauticals Discussion
I've gotta say, Naughty Nauticals is one of my favorite MAC Collections ever. It is like a summer time version of "Blue Storm" which is another of my faves. I ordered my stuff without trying it first hoping that it would all look gorgeous and it looks beyond gorgeous. I want to do a little review on the things I purchased so here goes!! >_< NW45 for reference.
Mutiny pigment is just so pretty. To me it looks like the sun shining on top of the ocean It's the kind of blue that makes me think of drifting along in a sail boat hehe.
Bell Bottom Blue is a cross between Naval Blue + Blue Storm I think. It's really pretty and looks amazing over Blackground/Delft and Rollickin.
Submarine is just the most perfectly beautiful blue in my e/s collection. I love this colour so much! I have heaps of blue shadows and I was reluctant to get this because of that...but I'm so glad I did. It's like a deep sea blue but it's not too deep - its jussst right!
Meet the Fleet is such a great crease colour for me and it blends so easily. I was afraid it would be one of those colours that looks pretty in the pot but just goes on looking black but that was not the case. It is a deep aubergine colour on me. It would be so beautiful in a blue smoky eye look.
Love Knot lustreglass is just out of this world! It's a pinky, purpley, bluey shiney colour. It's definitely worth trying on if you have overlooked it so far. It gives your lips a really awesome 3D effect because of the duochrome and it's really easy to apply. It looks so great with Dazzlegass on top!
Illegal Cargo reminds me of Neutral Pink heaps but it's more like a mauvey version. Think Neutral Purple/Lilac. I know I will get a lot of wear out of it.
Buoy O Buoy is the perfect nude on me! I like it better than 4N and I love the sexy way it makes my lips look.
Naughty Nautical Nail Lacquer is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the Chanel one that came out for spring. I applied it at night time and it looked almost black and I was a bit disappointed but the next day upon seeing it in daylight I had to do a double take at my nails haha. The colour is just amazingly blue... I applied 2 coats but you can get away with 1 without it looking thin and faded.
Port Red Lipstick - I went back and got this today with some more MAC empties I had stashed away. It was the very last one at the counter and this collection was only released a few days ago so I was lucky . I've never owned a red lipstick and never thought I would. This colour has blown my mind. It is almost too beautiful! I love the hints of golden orange in it.
Yarrrrr, that be all :P
