I'm an nc15 and light/medium is perfect for my skintone - the shimmer is subtly, but really gorgeous, and the natural side matches exactly.

I got mine today and it is perfect! I'm really happy with it. Which brush works best to apply it? I was thinking about picking up the new one..
I'm really happy with it.. the shimmer is really nice and it doesn't look like I'm covered in shimmer.

I use my beloved 182 brush to apply the natural side, and the new 181se for the shimmer. The round shape of the 181 makes it perfect for blending in the shimmer.

I'm glad it's not just me who is having trouble getting product on the brush, I was worried I'd ended up with a dodgy one!
I'm still playing with brushes to figure out which of the ones I own will work best (I don't own any MAC brushes). The natural haired powder brush I have doesn't seem to grab the product, but the synthetic kabuki I own grabs the powder and wont let it go so I don't get any product transfer onto my face! I'm going to leave it a while and see if things improve after a week, as pointed out by erine1881, if they don't it could just be my cheap brushes being naff.
I'm starting to think I should just go and get the 189

Re: MAC - New View Discussion
I don't know if this question was asked or not but I wanted to get a msf and use the 187 to apply it with fix+
so my question is, can the msf be used wet?
if i spray fix+ on the brush and then dip it into the product, will it get ruined?
thanks

Very interesting question. I have always been told that you CANNOT use the MSF naturals wet but that you can use the traditional shimmery MSFs wet. Now, seeing as this is half and half I wonder. Do you use one side wet and not the other?

correct, the natural side can't be used wet, but i'm not 100% sure with the shimmer side. its a different type of shimmer than the regular MSFs, but still shimmery, so you could try it wet. just don't get any water into the natural side.

Re: MAC - New View Discussion
i've been using the shimmery side of my light/medium with my 187 brush (wet with fix +) for about a week now, and i haven't had any problems. i really like it wet! it's much more intense to use as a highlight on the cheekbones and i love it! =) have fun with it!

if you want to get it, set aside the MSFN you're using now, and use this duo together. then, when you run out, go back to the one you already have.
Thanks for the tip, I got the light-medium and it is a perfect match for my skin during summer.
And the brush is just amazing.

Re: MAC - New View Discussion
Ok, so I went to the Pro store yesterday and one of the MAs came up to me and we were talking about the new collections. She asked if I had tried the MSF duos....wet! I said no and that I have been told by several people that you can't. She said that's not what she had been told and proceeded to spray the 169 with fix+ and swirl it through the MSF. She said it works great as a foundation when applied wet and swiped the back of her hand with the brush. She was right. I really liked the pigmentation that it gives when applied wet. She explained that I had probably been told not to use it wet because the surface does harden but you can just use a clean mascara wand to scrape off the hardened area. I suggested just scraping of some of the MSFs on to a surface, maybe the lid, and using a wet brush on that. I can't wait to try it.

Re: MAC - New View Discussion
why not just swirl the brush in the msfn and then spray fix+ that way the product doesn't get wet but you still get wet application?

In my experience, you don't get enough product on your brush to do your entire face. So, you could get some product on your brush and spray it but then when you have to get more product your brush is wet. You could wipe it dry, pick up more product and wet it again but that's too much work for me. I would have to do that like 3 times. I also find that a wet brush just picks up more product to begin with.

maybe try applying msf to your liking and then apply fix+ to the brush and buff it into your skin?
does that get off the same result?

Actually, I quite like it swirled all over the face. there is not a lot of glitter, more of a glow. i've been wearing it this way for the past 3 days and i love it so much i think i might purchase a backup...

I'm NC15 and got the Light Medium/Natural and right now when I'm a bit tanned it works for me good Might bit bit too dark for the winter though.

I want to add one of these to my online order. Not sure which color to get. I wear NC43 in StudioFix. Should I get dark or medium-dark? Thanks.

Re: MAC - New View Discussion
I had to get the MSF duo in Medium Dark... I love the shimmer as a highlighter...On an aside I had trouble finding the 181 but finally found one at Nordstrom's! Yea!

No, I am NC 30 and medium dark was my shade. I would say try dark or deep dark!
