I was just wondering if you are going to be able to get your hands on the Electroflash mes shadows early?

If you like alot of coverage (since you mentioned Fix Powder), you may not like the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. Aside from the satin finish of MSF (compared to the matte-ness of Fix), they are also VERY low in coverage. As I'm sure you know, Fix Powder is medium to full so I am not sure if you will want to immediately replace it in your makeup bag. You are going to want to try it out for a few days to see if you like it first!! =)

Those brushes were synthetic, but meant to mimic natural fibre. They were good for blending, but not really great at picking up the product. If the new 189 is this same synthetic fibre, I question its ability to pick up/hold the MSF. I will be more than a bit bummed.
You know, as soon as I saw that picture of the brush I was thinking that they can't be natural fibres because it looks just like the Raquel brushes! I was about to check the color stories to get more details about those brushes when I saw your post! You're one sharp cookie. We will just have to wait for some more details! Update isn't too far away.

thanks! well i basically meant for it to take the place of my studio fix in my makeup bag, not as a foundation. like if i needed to touch up id use the msfn instead of my foundation...or do u still not think thats good enough?
my blot powder isnt cutting it

if you want to throw it in your purse to touch up with, i'd suggest the select sheer pressed powder. the MSFN can break easily, especially if you carry it in your purse. tho you can touch up with the MSFN, the SSPP is also great to touch up with, and won't break if you toss it in your bag.

I carry my msf's in my purse too (aghhhh I know....) but I will listen to you. would you say the sspp is better than blot powder or the same? Blot powder doesnt seem to be doing anything for my skin. I honestly dont know whats going on but im going to mac tomorrow so we will see

well, what are you wanting your powder (whether its MSFN, blot or SSPP) to do for you? are you wanting something for oil/shine? coverage?
MSFN will give you some coverage (sheer-medium). this is great if you feel that your foundation is disappearing. but it won't do anything for oil/shine. it will diminish it a bit at first for a few minutes, but that oil will come right thru real fast.
SSPP is similar, but it will have even less coverage than the MSFN.
blot is not gonna give you coverage if your foundation is fading, but it will take care of the oil/shine right away, and last for a good while.
i don't wear foundation. i just use the MSFN for my coverage, and touch up 1-2 times a day with my blot powder.

well this is the thing...I wear studio finish concealer and studio fix powder. when I'm at work, I sweat and work hard...it ends up melting off my face (i get so hot?) and I think its more sweat than anything, but me sweating then causes my face to get oily. Then my foundation wears off. I try to keep up with the blot powder, and it takes away my oil and shine for less than an hour..
But I dont even think i have oily skin alll the time. Its like flaky and dry in some spots, but give me 5 hours at work and I might as well have not even worn foundation. But I can't go for something with more coverage like studio fix fluid because that will make my face even grosser and more oily at the end of the day.
So I guess I'd want the msfn to cover up where my foundation has melted off. because the blot powder doesnt blot for me for too long anyways? Maybe I should use both. When I scratch my face, i have a patch where my foundation came off. Thats like, gross.

hmm. have you tried one of the primers? that might help your foundation stay on longer. that or you might have to try a water-resistant foundation, like face & body. its less coverage than studio fix, but it might be better for you. but like i said, if you decide to go with MSFN, be careful so that it doesn't bust.

i havent tried a primer, but my ma told me that the charged water renewal defense will help me with my oil issue and help prime my skin...and he told me to probably stay away frm the msfn because it gives more of a satiny and dewy look. he also switched my blot powder shade thanks for all of your help Erine!

unfortunately, the CWs don't do anything for oiliness. and the MSFN have a natural finish, not satin, hence the name natural.

Those all look very pretty in the photos! - Thanks.
I think I'm going to try both the light & medium. I love the peachy in the medium. And, I can't wait to try that brush.

I've been wanting a regular MSF natural, and I personally don't like shimmer in my overall face makeup.

I've never owned a MSF before, so I think I will get Medium Natural.
