they won't make any extra shades. the shades that they currently have (even tho the MLF runs darker than MSFN) coincide with the shades in the MSFN (except for deeper dark).

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
They might not have the product on hand for future shots, but they definitely have it for stuff that's permanent on their web site.
Maybe we should help them out, and take swatches on white paper, take an up close shot of it, make a description, and send it to MAC. Even out of focus, they would give a lot better of an idea of the color than over half of what they have on the site, in my opinion.

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
I don't have any MSF's (although I've been hunting around on the For Sale page and that may just be changing soon... ) but I'm so excited for this launch!
So far I want Petticoat and So Ceylon-I just hope I will like them both since I'm guessing I'll have to jump online the second they're released to get them since I'm sure they'll sell out FAST!
I know they're "expensive to make" and all but...man I wish MAC would make these permanent so we all wouldn't feel so nuts about securing them! I'm ALREADY stressed Hahaha!

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
i wish mac would change the packaging for the loose mineral foundations. dare i say it, they take the prize for mac's worst packaging ever. it's a nice foundation, and it's pretty neat that it has sun protection but...ugh that packaging!
stoked for the msfs though!

While it doesn't actually "upset" me, mineral collections always disappoint me.
Mineral blushes or skin finishes are cool but the rest = bleh.
Especially the mineral eyeshadows. I'm surprised they keep releasing them so much. The worst.

I'm so excited about Petticoat. I really really want it
I don't like the other two to be honest, not my colour, I'm too pale for that I think

HOLY Crap that is so true!! now I have to see SC and GD...I have a Petticoat already....

I think rocking chick had it half right - the product images are taken from flashtronic, but they changed the colors in them to (sort of) resemble the MSF's to be released (which will not be the same as those in flashtronic). Well gee MAC, no wonder your product images are known for being so off in color - they're not even images of the actual products!
Alright - enough detective work for one day, I gotta get back to writing the thesis

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
You have to understand that that is done on all cosmetics (retail) websites. It is just too expensive, wasteful, and time consuming to actually take pictures, crush, etc. every single product. That's why most products are the general "finish" picture, with the color photoshopped on top of it. Like most Amplified Cream lipsticks, and Lustre eyeshadows are the same image, just different colors. That's why one should always take these facts into account when ordering online.
Specktra is a great resource to use when deciding on ordering colors, since many members go out of their way to post swatches, and describe products in depth. =)

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
Sheerbronze and Silver Aura seem to me like the mineralize version of Bronze and Silverdusk loose iridescent powders. Still sounds good to me! And I have to pick up that new MSF!

Soft And Gentle appears to be becoming permanent, and the Mineralize line will be introducing two Shimmer powders. Check out the Mineralize line thread for more info as it becomes available!

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
Ohhh, I am hoping that these new "shimmer powders" will be like the shimmer side of the New View duo powders. I love the shimmer side, but don't need the matte side, and I would be so excited if they made them seperate!

Re: MAC - Sheer Minerals Discussion
Ohhh BunnyBunnyBunny thank you so much for the info on these!! It'll cost us lots of MoneyMoneyMoney , but you made us all happy heehee!
Another reason to make me hate my country for not bringing MAC to us yet! I don't have any MSF yet because they're always sold out when I manage to get to a UK counter at my bf's, but this time I'll do everything I can for getting Petticot and Soft and Gentle!
