Email campaign anyone?

My mother always told me if you're going to bring cupcakes to school, you should bring enough for the whole class. Maybe MAC doesn't understand that idea and we should begin emailing them about cosmetic company etiquette. MAC please bring enough California Dreamin for the whole class or don't do it at all. It's epic failboat with your loyal customer base.

I just e-mailed MAC about this and said what about the rest of the country?Erine is so right this is the stupidest thing MAC ever came up with.

How y'all get them postcards???

I've been buying Mac for the past 6 years via online and instore and I have never recieved any postcards. Plus Mac has 2 addresses for me and neither address has recieved anything within those past years. What's up with that??

they randomly sends them. not everyone in their system will get one.

i receive it today. the card didn't said anything about ID required.

I'm going to try to redeem it. the name on the post card is me but i have a different name on my ID. i have a vietnamese name so when a store ask me for my name to put on their system, i use my english name. the name on my ID is my vietnamese name but on the post card its my english name.

I think the idea of a region-based exclusive like this is very interesting. it'd be great to see one done over here - we miss out on some collections and the like, so our own special exclusive would be pretty cool.

You know, this finally makes sense. I used to buy almost everything from EVERY collection, and I rarely got postcards. Then I went through a dry spell where I did the same neutral look every day for months, and I was getting postcards like mad at both my addresses. Lame.

ETA: Cute postcard. And it *is* cool of MAC to do this, no company is obligated to give away free product, or come out with cool exclusives.

if you go into your online account, there is an option to recieve mailers from your nearest store. you gotta have that option selected in order to receive them.

Thank You Erine! But on my account it just says "to recieve email". Oh well, I'll email customer service.

Darn, I guess no free Mac for me! Kinda Sucks! And I do agree with SMMY regarding the "bring cupcakes for everyone, or none at all" life lesson.

aww boooooo! why must they insist on punishing good customers? they're basically telling us to stop buying mac for a period of time--long enough for them to notice and then reward us for not buying their products anymore.
