Oh, well that's just misleading then. I've noticed that with some of MAC's eyeshadows too, I look at the finish and go "whaaaaa?" I know it's not that big of a deal, but if I was shopping online and wanted a matte, I'd choose one that says matte and expect to get a matte. Not a matte with a pearl.

I posted some new Heatherette info I got today over in that thread, here's the non Heatherette things I saw in the Spring Update Book at Mac

The picture for the Fergie Viva Glam, she looks HOTTTT I can't wait for it to be a postcard!

Also saw some collection that appeared to be all lip products (not the slimshine collection though) called... Euroblast or Eurovision or something.
Andddd a page of new skincare.

She flipped to the end of the update book and it didn't include any of those Naughty Nautical and Sci Fi named collections in it.

strobe cream (repromote)
strobe liquid (permanent) $29.50
tlc stick spf 15 (le) $14.50

-strobe liquid in similar to oil control lotion in texture.
-it has smaller pearlized pigments to it than strobe cream, and it lacks the strobe cream fragrance and moisture time-release system.
-it provides a softer glow to the skin. it is more candlelight illumination, where strobe cream is more stagelight illumination.

-the new tlc stick spf15 contain the strobe pearl. the colors are:
strobe kiss - sheer coral with golden strobe pearlized pigments
strobe rays - light caramel with golden red strobe pearlized pigments
strobeblossom - light blue/pink with red strobe pearlized pigments
strobe current - sheer plum with golden red strobe pearlized pigments
strobe beam - clear with strobe pearlized pigments

beauty powder blush (le)
shy beauty - pastel apricot with gold pearlized pigments
feeling - plum with silver pearlized pigments
sweetness - intense blue pink (??don't know pearlized pigments color??)
joyous - peach with gold pearlized pigments
true romantic - mid-tone pink with silver pearlized pigments

they are different. they are a blush, so they have a bit more color to them, but they do have that luminous pearl to it that the beauty powders have. i believe they are like the pressed beauty powders, but with more color.

i apply beauty powder to the high planes of the face since they don't have alot of color. they beauty powder blush are applied to the cheeks like a regular blush, just with the added benefit of the luminosity built in. does that help?

we won't know til update in april since they don't come out til may.

we didn't see em, so i don't know. since they're le, it wouldn't surprise me if they were in special packaging.

Wow, way to step it up MAC! This is going to be one of those collections where the list of what I want is going to be much longer than the list of what I don't want. Beauty powders + blush = my one serious weakness.

Hey guys, I just found this article on MAC spring/summer looks.
It's in Dutch, so here's a translation:

Neo-dynamic, shadowworks, strongly accentuated bonestructes and a perfectly clean skin. That's what they mean with a 'sculpted face'. Also the base of every trend this summer.

Trend 1: Slated - Grey

It's not just in fashion that grey plays the mainpart, also in make-up looks it's one of the biggest trends. And mostly around our eyes. With lots of different grey and a bit of tape and metallic. Smokey Eyes new style, with the eyeshadow less on the lid but mostly blended outworths. This gives a softer feeling to the look.

Trend 2: Alabaster - milky white

The word 'albino' is central in this look. White make-up on and around the eyes (also on the innersides of the nose), lips that are, so to speak, pushed 'inside/inworths' by giving them a white and matte color. Eyebrows are brushed up and filled in white. An extreme yet serene look.

Trend 3: Flesh Metel

Taupe, caramel and a touch of gold. Those are the keywords. A clean, sunkissed skin with a lot a shine and shimmer all over the face. Bronzer is allowed, but only in very natural tones.

Trend 4: Acarylic

A lot of neon-bright colors and abit girly and sporty. Colors like shocking purple and orangy-red can be worn on the lips aswell as the eyes. Also popular are the tropical parrotcolors for on the eyes. You can let the daring colors fade a little for a more subdued effect.

I wish I was there, with the presentation, everything sounds great and out-of-the-box. Maybe the last part, trend 4, is about the neo sci-fi colletion?

I was just on the MAC site checking the Summer Trends out and I also noticed that Platinum (metal) pigment and a LipMix have been added to the website, and they don't appear to be LE. Does anyone know if the non-pro locations will now be carrying these products? I'm too cheap to get to a Pro store or order online, I sooo hope they're staying!

sorry. these are pro only, and won't be available at stores or counters. sometimes the regular site will carry pro colors when they are part of a trend or collection. counters and stores will carry them only if they are part of a collection, like the glitters and steel blue pigment with the originals collection.

platinum pigment doesn't have a LE triangle next to it cause it is out of stock, and the lipmix doesn't have it because it isn't available yet online. once they are in stock, there will be a LE triangle next to them.

I was just on the MAC site, and when I looked on the pigments page, I saw platinum and it is already sold out!

I kind of hope they restock it because I sort of want a jar...

Maybe it's just because I'm on the Canadian website, but the Platinum pigment isn't out of stock and it doesn't have an LE triangle. It's also allowing me to order LipMix, and it doesn't have an LE triangle either.
