How many brushes do you use for one m/u application?

Well, I'm sort of broke at the moment ... so I use three. Kabuki from BE, a blending brush with one of those foam applicators on the other end, and a concealer brush.

I use the 242, 226, 228, and 252 for my eyes...for my face I use the 187 for foundation and powder (a different one for each), the 109 for contour, 190 for my powder under eye brightener/concealer, and 129 for my blush and highlight (same brush for both). So what's that??? About 8 or 9, more or less. Wow.

For the face I use just a blush brush, but for the the eyes....226, 239, 219, 222, the sonia kashuk small shader brush and the angled liner brush. So 7 at least...wow

and sometimes the 187 if I am using beauty powder.

If I'm feeling special, it could be 5 or more: for fluidline, eyeshadows (depends how many), and foundation

When doing my MU I use a kabuki, blush angle, 3-6 shadow brushes, lip brush and depending maybe an eyeliner brush.
For work I have no idea but when I'm cleaning them it always seems like too many. LOL

I use quite a few brushes.. My brushes are all from Crownbrush or GOSH.

Eyes ; Large allover lid brush, bledning brush, crease brush, angle brush and small 'painting' (for fluidline) brush, small smudger brush.

Face ; small kabuki for foundation, concealer brush. Blush brush and angle brush for contouring, and a large powder brush. A small highlighter brush too.

Lips ; small dense brush.

I usually use at least 5 the 239, 217, 129, 182, and 266. If I wear foundation then the 187 also.

Erm 5 for face - concealer, foundation, powder, contour, highlight/blush

8 for eyes - base, main colour, blending, highlight, line, line softener like a 219, angled brush for eyebrows and a comb for them.

And one for lips!

So yeah... 12 brushes. A bit OTT but whatever!

On a daily basis, I tend to use less to even no brushes at all simply because I'm too lazy and tired in the morning to even brush my hair! LOL.

But usually- I would use my angled eyeliner brush.

I use three brushes. A fluff brush and crease brush for my eyes, and my kabuki for powder and blush.
The simpler the better.

If I am doing full out makeup, my brush use follows this pattern:

Face:
189 or 190 or 109 (foundation)
168 (contour)
random powder brush (blush)
182 (MSF)
150 (translucent powder)

Eyes:
242 or 239 (eye shadow application)
224 and/or 226 or ss224 (crease)
227 (highlight)
263 (brow)
ss209 (fluidline)

Lips:
316 (blend liner/apply lip colour)

However, if I'm not doing a full makeup application, I'll use 182 for Studio Fix powder, apply a bit of blush with a powder brush and do all of my eye shadow with the 242 and eye liner with 209.

So I guess anywhere from 4 to 11 brushes.

I leave the house without makeup a lot.

Jemma Kidd 'Deepen' brush

Benefit 'Shadow Liner' brush

For my face I use:
Benefit 'Powder' brush for my all over powder
Jemma Kidd 'Powder' brush for my MSF
Occasionally a foundation brush by Avon
