What interesting answers...I never would have imagined so many people use towels. I'm super lazy, therefore I brush it on my hand till no more color is coming from the brush.

I just wipe the brush against a rag until it comes clean. Failing that, I use a piece of tissue or toilet paper to wipe the brush clean.

Then I just wash my hand when I am done.
Yup.. same here! I use my hands like artists palettes, I test combos, get rid of excess left on the brush, mix things together..

I have multiple brushes, but I typically wipe them on a cotton pad with Lush's Eau Roma Water on it if I'm stuck.

i have multiple brushes too, but sometimes i want to use the same brush in one application for different colors, so i have a makeup towel that i just wipe it on until no more color comes off on the towel.

Even more waful, its usually on my jeans when I go to see my friends of whatever...my boyfriend has noticed a couple times and wiped at it...only to look at the color and look at my eyes, roll his own and laugh at me.
Now this is whats awful/weired/gag worthy...I wipe it on the top layer of the TP roll...I'm ALWAYS sure to rip it off and throw it out, but my lil brother caught me at this once and was like..."Yo..uhm, I wipe my A$$ with that you know???" haha....
I'm awful. I've ruined too many of my moms white washcloths...

I sprits Smashbox brush cleaner on a tissue and swirl/swipe the brush till the color is gone. Then let it the brush air dry for 30 seconds or so.
I use that same tissue for wiping my masara wand and blotting my lip as well. Tissues are a mainstay in my getting ready routine.
I only wash my eyeshadow brushes every other week....

I do the exact same thing that she does it works wonderfully and is very very quick. and i know this works beacuse ive used bright pink eyeshadow then wiped it on the rag and swiped my brush against some white eyeshaow and had no pink residue come off.

Run my finger through the brittles so all the powder fly away, then swipe it on the back of my hand to make sure there no more color left. works everytime and doesnt affect the next color.

Tissue.
I do have multiple brushes though, and I don't wear many colour groups so its easier to reuse them.
I was my brushes every few weeks, at least once a month.

I use the tissue method although I do use a sneaky blow (as mentioned above ahem) once in a while when I'm late! I did get a slap on the wrist for doing that from my MU artist friend :S Oops!

Eep, I'll be the worst one... sometimes i just blend it all arond and not really wipe off the colour. It's always a surprise how much even with the "tap off" method afterwards, that there is on my brush...
I'll remember now girls!

Cinema Secrets makes this brush cleanser that dries instantly. I have a little jar that I fill just a little, dip the brush in & wipe it on whatever is near me. It's a giant bottle for like $30 & lasted me all through makeup school, up to last week.
I have a million brushes (seriously, like 20 shadow brushes) but I am very lazy and often only use 1 or 2 to do my eyes...so I make it so that I start with the lightest color first & then build up to the darkest color...I only clean it if I'm completely switching color families. I swear that it makes blending easier since the colors kinda are already mixed.

That's what I do too! It's easier than having a piece of tissue blowing around the counter (not that my bathroom is overly windy...but you know what I mean!).
And if I'm using similar colours, a quick tap and a blow work fine too.
