I use the underside of my forearm. Sometimes I'll get to work and have streaks of e/s from my wrist to the inside of my elbow

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
I have two designated makeup washcloths (they're all stained from the makeup) and I always have one of the two nearby to wipe my brushes on.. I wash them every day

Now, take this lightly simply because I don't know for sure, but, I've read that it's NOT a good idea at all to blow on any of your brushes.. especially anything for your eyes. Even though you're not trying to spit, it still comes out a tiny bit anyway and you're just spreading funky mouth germs onto them. Like I said, I don't know if that's really true, but, just the idea of it is enough to make me not want to do it :crap:

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
i use a studio gear brush for my foundation, and just a lil cheapie eyeshadow brush until i buy a new one. but i usually use the mac brush cleaner solution everyday when im done applying my foundation. and i usually just put a little on a cotton round, so when i need to switch up colors for eyeshadow... i just run it across the other side of the cotton thing to get rid of the color. or if im lazy, ill just use one of those quick face wipes. kills bacteria too.

I wipe and tap the brush on the back of my hand, paper towel, tissue, or paper (as in brand new copier paper).

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
I always save face or baby wipes for wiping my brushes. They come in handy when traveling & I also find that they work better than towels or toliet paper.

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
Ummm... I use one side for one colour. (It only works for those flat brushes though). Otherwise, I'll just rub my brush on a paper towel moisten with my Clinique toner or MAC brush cleanser (whichever is closer to me).

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
I usually just swipe the brush across my hand a couple of times before going to the next color, unless I'm going from dark to light which isn't really the way I go anyways!

I use a wash towel...i use an eyeshadow and then swirl it gently on the towel...the little fibers take most of the color out of the brush... =D

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
i just brush the excess off on a kleenex or piece of toilet paper or something until there's no more color coming off the brush. or i use my fingers but i make sure they're clean first.

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
i use one brush also. i just brush it over a kleenex until the color disappears. if its a dark color, i'll put a couple drops of brush cleaner on the kleenex and brush it over that then brush it over a dry spot to let dry it.

Re: How to use the same brush for more than one eyeshadow?
I use an old, cleaned latex makeup sponge and wipe the brush against the sprong and use back and forth motion, it really quick clean and some how polish the brush very shiny, if sponge gets dirty just wash with soap and water, let dry and can use again. my makeup teacher taught me this trick very fast and cost effective!try!it worked on my 239 brush with white hair too very clean!
