Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I have managed to get quite a few considering I have only been using them for a few months. Its like a challenge. A potentially expensive challenge.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
Which MSF Natural did you get?
I'm NC40ish and <333 both Light Flush & Warmed.... an MA used MSFN in Medium on me (she tried Medium Deep first but like Medium better). I like the coverage and it's definitely on my to buy list.

I got the lightmedium and i also made a mistake, i bought both warmed and light flush. I heard they last a long time is that true? Both the MSF and MSFN.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
How come a person has more than one MSFs, for example Glissade MSF, Porcelain Pink MSF, Northern Light MSF, Gold Spill MSF.
I wonder what they use them for because they're from different shades (gold, pink, etc).

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I have pretty clear skin and use the MSF Natural the same way I would a powder foundation like MAC Studio Fix. It gives a really pretty look. You can also get it in a darker shade to contour.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I just recently bought MSF Natural in Medium, which... seemed kinda weird to me. I've worn Studio Fix N3 or N4 for ages, and I wanted to switch to concealer and MSF instead. But the MA matched me up to NW20 in the concealer and Medium in the MSF. It seems sooooo dark to me, but on my skin I guess it doesn't look bad. I actually don't feel like it gives me any color at all, which I suppose is a good thing! It just kind of disappears into my skin. Maybe I'm not as light as I thought...?

that's the color i'd put you in. you don't want it to give you color. you want it to disappear, which you said it does.

Well wonderful! That's good to hear, thanks so much! And yeah, it definitely does just... disappear on my skin. Poof! So far I'm liking it all right.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
i only own northern light, i never use it
i dont see what everyone raves about with these, it's just like putting big chunks of glitter on your face
i may get a few more when the mineral collection is released, but i think i'd much rather buy bobbi brown shimmer bricks

Dont worry - Im NC30 ans the SA gave me medium dark which suprised me as well, but it looks good. Gives me more warmth/colour than the medium did (I tried both).

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
Couple of questions...
I have a sonic chic duo...medium dark, although I am medium plus. How is everyone using these?
And...I just ordered Gold Spill from ebay and was wondering what people thought of it. I am really excited to get it!

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I am using the non sparkly side as a finishing powder and the sparkly side as a highlighter on my cheekbones and nose. The MAC SA told me I could use the powder wet or dry, so have been using the highlighter wet after I use the fix+ spray - looks good!

you can use the shimmer side wet, but not the natural side.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I've been into MAC quite a relatively short period (we had our firts and only MAC counter about a year ago) so I've pretty much missed all the Msf. Right now I have only two MSF's Glissade and Northern Light.
So my guestion is this, wich MSFs you consider a must have for a NC15 gal?

I'm lighter than NC15 and my faves to use is Northern Light and Porcelain Pink. Since you already got the Northern lights try to pick up the other one. I also have Light Flush (htis can look rather dark some times and very metalic so use it lightly) , Glissade (I pair this with porcelain pink to add a bit more color) , and lightscapade (actualy makes me look lighter as a finishing powder).
I'm hoping to pick up some new MSF when the new collection comes out with them in it.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
The MAC Natural MSFs...are they supposed to be used on TOP of your normal foundation, or as a replacement? I'm a newbie and am currently using Studio Fix compact in NC35. Any recommendations?

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I usually use a bronzer from Laura Mercier and add Nars Luster on the top to give a glow.
I think I want to try a MSF now. I'm a NW25 and would like something to go over that with a bit more bronzing look. Ideas???

I use it on top of my normal liquid foundation, im not sure if it can be used as a replacement... it would be really sheer.
