I have Petticoat and I wear it on my blush.I don't wear foundation or concealer, either.I don't think you need primer

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I feel that the MSFs do need some sort of primer... Petticoat, when applied, is really powdery and comes off too easily if I touch my face.
I don't think these are similar to Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Bricks at all. They're different kinds of shimmer/highlighting.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I've been searching for shooting star...on a budget. I see it on ebay for like, 50.00...WHYYYY????!!!???!!!
I have gold deposit...its pretty but extremely glittery, not what I was hoping for. On the MAC site they recommend Copper Sparkle pigment as a replacement. Can anybody attest to this? I'd love to see swatches if anybody happens to have them both pleeeze?

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I recently bought Gold Deposit. My first MSF! Yay me!
I just have a question. I bought the fix+ and I'm not quite sure what we need it for. I was thinking of returning it. Do you prefer the MSFs wet or dry?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
Use MSF's usually dry but I like stipling Fix+ wiht the 187 over my finishing powder for a more glowy look.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I have 2 MSF's I got both at the cco near me. I have Light Flush, and I also have the natural one with half shimmer in light medium I think. I love them both.

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I really want to try these, I played with them a little today at my MAC store, but I opted for the new foundation instead....that stuff is the TRUTH!

I would NOT suggest using copper sparkle pigment as a replacement to Shooting star. They are two entirely different colors for one.
Try checking in the clearance bin here on Specktra as a few people have some listed for sale for not a lot of money.
I will swatch copper sparkle vs Shooting Star for you when I get home from work today.

What would be a good recommendation for someone just starting out with MAC MSF...what shade would be a good, well rounded, starter?

Re: Mineralize Skin Finish - basic facts
I have petticoat and, this may sound strange but, I use it all over my face. I put it on my cheekbones, temples, chin and on the bridge of my nose. It makes me look more alert and the added pinky tone really brightens up my face!

Depends on what shades your interested in and what you want to use it for. I think the BBR MSF are well rounded for the fact that it's a degrade. you can change the color just by chosing what to go with. I love my Redhead one. It's pinkish/golden/peachy just depends on how you use it. Also Soft and Gentle is a great one you can use it for just about anything.
