Most Over rated MAC Shadow?

Shroom....just because it barely shows on me, Ricepaper works much better as a highlighter...in saying that though, I still use Shroom as a highlighter during the week for work when I want a very very very subtle look.

I agree. It's gorgeous in the pan but it barely shows up on me

I have to say for me its Amber Lights, I'm sure it looks amazing on some people but on me it looks awful! I'm NW15 with auburn hair and it just looks so orange on my lids!! I got rid of it pretty quickly!

smoke & diamonds, i think is overrated. i went to mac to swatch it when it came out with the most recent collection for '09 and i was honestly not impressed. i think benefit's e/s in where there's smoke is 10x better than mac's smoke & diamonds.

I have to say Bitter and Beauty Marked. I really wanted to like Bitter but the colour pay off was bad (as Beauty Marked's too) and it was kinda dusty.

It would probably be Satin Taupe for me as well. It's so patchy and blends horribly. Glad I got it in a palette instead of a pan.

i think carbon *ducks* yes its good, but i have a million other matte black eyeshadows, and it really isnt that different to the rest, i actually use and prefer urban decay perversion... please dont throw thigns at me for this comment!

Sushi Flower, Bitter, Aquadesiac.

I can't see anything special about them, and I can't get any sort of decent color payoff with the last two. I have mineral eyeshadows from other companies that work way better.

I hate pink freeze, swish, yogurt, and red violet(pro).
It seems like Mac has a problem with producing a nice pink.
Also I hate the Hello Kitty Lucky Tom quad.
I so regret spending so much money on it. It literally sucks.

Hands down the most overrated shadow for me is Vanilla. I was soooo disappointed. Shroom, however, works wonders for me.

I think satin taupe was worst for me. Very dark and made my eyelids look heavier.

mine would be Parrot - why does everyone love this color so much ? I have swatched it a couple of times - when it first came out and when they repromoted it a couple of years ago and it does nothing for me - its just a blah turquoise color

I just got my Parrot pan in the mail and, while it's not worth the $40+ it's going for, it is worth it for a lower price (my depot was a fantastic $9). It's so gorgeous, though I admit I'm usually a browns/neutrals girl (& NC25). It's amazing for just a POP of color, like on your lower lashline or blended into an otherwise generic eye look. HTH!

As for me, I LOVE the look of Beauty Marked in the pan and I always swatch it at my MAC counter, but it ends up a chalky, uneven black mess--the pretty reddish glimmers disappear!

And, personally, I love Shroom. It's great for a very subtle highlight on by browbone when I'm otherwise working with bold Veluxe Pearls/Frosts on my lid. However, I can understand how it would not show up for other people.

Shroom, or Moth Brown for me. The former being a chalky mess, the latter being a muddy brown mess.

For me it's Carbon. It's just a pretty average black. I have a matte black from Sleek which is soooo much more pigmented and puts Carbon to shame.

Also Shroom. It's too yellow for my skintone.

naked lunch - swatched it at the counter, and it wasn't anything special...just a meh colour. definitely not worth the hype.

woodwinked - woodwinked's gorgeous, but i find it hard to blend, hard to work with, it's too dark for a wash of colour all over the lid, but too light for the crease...i still love it, but i was disappointed...oh and it shattered as well.

I agree trax and parrot are very over rated!! Trax I didn't find anything special about as far as the color goes and parrot well there is just so many other colors close to it that it's pointless to spend the $25-$50 that people were asking for it because it was Limited Edition.
