I can't stand to pay a lot for something I'm going to throw out in 3 months so I use drugstore mascara. I think I've tried a lot of them. My favorites are:

1. Max Factor 2000 Cal
2. Cover Girl Lash Exact
3. Almay One Coat in Thickening

I've always liked YSL false effects mascara in black as it gives an intense volumous look and i always got people asking me 'are you wearing false lashes' when i wore it, however i find that the longer i have the tube, the worse it gets. It's like heaven when i first open it and for 4 or 5 weeks after it's good but after that it goes a bit dry.

As for Diorshow, it's good but not amazing, i think it's much the same as YSL false effects but for some reason i find the YSL one easier to apply.

To be honest i like these 2 and Lancome Hypnose but the price is the only reason i don't rave about them. I just can't justify that amount of money for something that's only going to last me 3 months (if that!).

I think i'm going to have to try this Covergirl Lash Exact or Max Factor Lash Perfection, does anyone know if the Covergirl one is available in Australia yet?

I like drugstore stuff - my fave is Maybelline Full and Soft - I have pretty long and thick lashes so mascara isn't really my thing, but this stuff works pretty great and isn't clumpy or flaky, plus it's dirt cheap compared to some stuff

My favorite mascaras right now are: Covergirl Lash Exact & L'Oreal Voluminous. IMO drgstore mascara is just as good as more expensive stuff.

Lancome Hypnose, Benefit Bad Gal, and Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Lashes from the new line.
I want to try Fresh Super Nova, and Chantecaille (sp?) the all natural version that comes in the shiny silver tube I heard those two are very nice mascaras.

The Maybelline Great Lash Mascara was one of my fav but I recently discover the L'Oreal Telescopic and it's really amazing
These are my two must-haves mascaras.

Blinc's KISS ME mascara.

No other will hold up to my oily lids and come off so easily and gently. My HG and there's no point in me trying any other mascara. They have all failed me and given me racoon eyes after 3-4 hours.

I like UD's Skyscraper in "Gotham," but I find that I need to use it with their Lingerie & Galoshes to get the effect I want.

I've been interested in trying Dior Show for a while, but I'm waiting for my Zoom Lash and Bad Gal to runout/dryout. I've always been hesitent about paying $20 for mascara... So, can someone who uses Dior Show tell me all about it? Everyone says they "swear by it" but that's a little vauge. I have lashes that are pretty good on their own (decently long, good volume, pitch black), but I guess I like to have *really* bold looking lashes, otherwise Zoom would have done it for me. (Not that it's a bad mascara by any means.) Does anyone who uses Show think I'll get even more extreme lashes than what I get from Zoom? I think I've narrowed down my mascara needs at length and lift.

Zoom lash
Stila Major Lash mascara

I like big, outrageous, clumpy lashes. I hate mascaras that make you look like you have no mascara on!

diorshow is a joke. i don't know if it's the brush or the formula or what...but it'll make your eyelashes look wimpy. basically all it does is just separate. it almost looks like it's not black in the tube..maybe dark grey? it's not worth the money at all. zoomlash is 183043x better.

I've liked Hypnose and Defincils, but I've moved on to drugstore brand. I'm currently using Covergirl Super Thick lash in Black Noir, but I'm looking for something else. (I've tried Max Factor 1000 Calorie but wasn't too thrilled)

I think a lot of women continue on the hunt for the 'perfect mascara'.

Lancome Definicils and if I want it to be a little more dramatic I use Cils Booster, also by Lancome under it. I refuse to wear anything else. This stuff is amazing!

I must agree with you about Lanome Definicils
I have tried lots of mascara and this one is so great it doesn't clump and it give my lashes great volume and length
it is a must have
