Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
Clinique Naturally Glossy... my eyelashes are pretty long, dark, and thick already but this gives them a nice natural seperation. Covergirl Lash Exact and Clinique High Definition are what I use if I want a more dramatic look.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
YSL Faux Cils is my new favorite...for D/S brand, I like L'Oreal Telescopic. With any mascara, I layer it over Ardell Lash Accelerator and it makes a WORLD of difference.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I absolutey love Lancome L'Extreme and Chanel Inimitable. I use Lancome for the first coat and then Chanel for the second.
I sometimes use Benefit Bad Gal, but that's a love/hate thing.

I love Dior Maximeyes Mascara as well as Diorshow. Those two are my all-time favourites.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
When I first got CG Lash Exact I was in love but I'm now onto my 3rd bottle and it's not that great. I also like Maybelline Full and Soft, Lancome Hypnose and MF 2000. I got a sample of Diorshow and I hated it. All it did was make my eyelashes clumpy. I really want to try YSL effect cils faux.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I have a few favorites, some of which I buy from Japanese cosmetic websites. Here are my top 5 (6 if you count the two tied for first place):
Tied for #1 - Opera Mylash (Japanese) and Max Factor Volume Couture
#2 - Kevyn Aucoin Volumizing
#3 - Imju Fiberwig (Japanese but now available on Sephora's site)
#4 - Lancome Fatale
#5 - Diorshow

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
Aha, the search for the perfect mascara, my own personal quest continues unabated....
My requirements are for a very black, volumising and seperating mascara that doesn't clump or run. I dig volume over lengthening every time because my lashes are short and I don't actually have an awful lot of eyelashes, so too much lengthening without volume looks odd....
Having tried BadGal lash, I have no desire to sample Diorshow at all. Yes it sounds wonderful, but the idea of trying to coat all my little scrappy lashes right to the root (which is what I have to do, to get my lashes to show) with another big clumsy brush just don't sound like much fun - especially when the product is soooo expensive. I'm just astonished that any makeup manufacturor designing a specifically *volumising* mascara would think a big chunky brush is a good idea, don't they realise that those of us who're lacking in lash body are better off with a more delicate, precise brush for mascara application?
My HG high end mascara is a toss-up between Lancome Hypnose and Zoomlash in Zoomblack. Zoomblack is *astonishly* black and pretty on my lashes - the blackest mascara I've tried - and the formula feels kind and lightweight, but I find it a really runny, smudgy nightmare to apply and often just not worth the effort it takes to get it looking good.
Hypnose isn't as black, but is just as volumising, and is one of the friendlier, easier mascaras I've found to get on - really, really nice.
If Hypnose was the price of the MAC mascara, and if they offered an "ultrablack" formula, it would be perfection in EVERY way.
Anyone recommend a blacker, cheaper, Hypnose-a-like, with a usable brush lol?
Budget mascaras: Rimmel Volume Flash is a nice black volumising formula, but it is a little clumpy. It reminds me a bit of Zoomlash and BadGal (only it doesn't have the stoopid BadGal brush), the formula just doesn't feel quite as pleasant.

This sounds like me! I love having voluminous lashes but having length as well. I love Diorshow, it is great for both these things but I have found that layering mascaras is also great.
I love Bourjois Yes To Volume No To Clumps mascara for volume at the base, then I use Diorshow Unlimited for length at the tips. They are both very black to me and the Diorshow Unlimited is great if you don't like the original Diorshow brush (which I happen to love, because my lashes are already kinda long).
Also, with the Zoomlash (Love this too! Great as a base.) I find it better to use if I leave it for a few months, otherwise the formulation is too wet and soppy like. Needs to dry out a little, then it is perfect. I also use the Max Factor 2000 Calorie brush with this mascara as I find the Zoomlash brush pretty pathetic.
And if you're still having trouble with clumps, I would reccommend a lash comb. Just be careful not to stab yourself in the eye... cos it kinda hurts.
Hope this helps!

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I liked Blinc (it stayed on) but I wanted more umph. That's why I'm thinking Lash Injection, it sounds like a volumizing Blinc...

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
My favorite mascara by far is Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara. It is so versatile, I am able to create natural, darkened lashes, stretch them out to greater lengths, curl them (and still have them curled 24 hours later, using only the mascara want to curl), and go all the way to dark, thick, eye lashes. I just bought one from the Cosmetics Company Store for $9.75. My last one lasted for several years. I understand some people buy mascara every month, but with this product it isn't necessary to buy it more often than you feel comfortable.

Maybelline XXL. Although once it gets a bit old it clumps a LOT.

My HG is Lancome Hypnose...I have yet to find its equal. I also like MAC's X mascara for a more natural look.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I'm still not happy with my mascara...in the beginning (over 20 years ago) I used Lancomes Immencils, which was fabulous. They switched the formula and then discontinued it. It was one of the all time best sellers where I worked. I then switched to Dior Cashmere mascara, which I really liked. Again they switched formulas and discontinued it. I've tried so many mascaras since then and I find the L'oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black to be the best I can find. I'm still not totally satisfied. Recently I bought Diorshow but it's not thick enough, too natural looking for me. I've also tried Macs Zoom and Pro lash. I like a thickening type mascara, but without fibers in it,not waterproof, and a fat brush. If anyone has a good suggestion, let me know. Much appreciated.
