Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
This is a great thread! I've got two questions if anyone can help answer them:
I currently use, and love, BadGal mascara but it does tend to smudge and flake a bit throughout the day. I just love the big bold dark lashes it gives. Anyone have a suggestion for a waterproof mascara that is comparable to BadGal? If only Benefit made a waterproof version!
I've heard people say to try a sample of Diorshow but how do you go about doing that? Is it a matter of just asking someone at Sephora for a sample? I see a mini Diorshow packaged with a eye palette but I'd just like the mini mascara to try first before spending the money on the full sized tube. Thoughts?

Diorshow but have also tried and really like Lancome Defincianle (sp? haha). The Lancome lash primer sample I tried was fantastic too!

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I actually don't shop too much at Sephora but have gotten lots of help and samples from the department store beauty counters (like Lancome counter in a Macy's or Nordstrom's.) I would simply ask for a sample at the counter, unless they are out of samples, they should be happy to give you one! Good luck!

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I don't have one HG mascara, but I've been sticking to the Shiseido The Makeup Mascara Base. It's the only thing that holds a curl on my eyelashes!

It happened!! BadGal is now available in a waterproof formula!! Yeah! I am ultra excited to try it out!!
I also love Smashbox's Bionic mascara. It tends to flake just a little, but it mainly depends on the weather

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I love just about every Maybelline mascara that i've tried. my personal rule is to never spend over $10 on a mascara, to me its just not that serious. unless i find one that makes me look like im totally wearing falsies....

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
My HG is Maybelline Define-A-Lash. It's so awesome for a drugstore brand, and the wand is perfect for separating lashes, plus I never end up with the mascara on my face after applying! Followed my Benefit BadGal Lash... I need to get a new tube, it has dried out significantly over a few months and now flakes

That's awesome! And I checked the price on ebay, it was like 19 bucks total for the cheapest buy it nows, not too bad for a high end. It really does look awesome, and makeupalley's reviews gave it a rating of 4.3. Not too shabby. Thanks for the rec.
If you want a good drugstore mascara to try that does not smudge at all I really would highly recommend you try the maybelline define a lash just to give a go, it really is a quality product.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I just picked up a sample of Lancome's Hypnose mascara and it's lovely. I think it's giving BadGal a run for it's money...

I'm very excited about the Waterproof version of BadGal but I've just noticed on the site that the brush looks different. It's not as big of a wand and it's got curves in it. Anyone else see this difference?

I agree there is no need for me to buy expensive mascaras. I love CG lasblast! Maybelline define a lash is ok. Rimmel mascaras are good as well.

A very intelligent approach.
However, since I've adopted a personal policy of not buying from companies that test on animals, this makes it tricky.
It seems like the best mascaras, in general, are made by companies that are off limits to me.
The exception is my HG mascara, UD's Skyscraper.
When I curl my lashes, apply MAC's Prep + Prime Lash, then Skyscraper, it sometimes gives me that false lash look.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
I absolutely love L'Oreals Voluminous Mascara. I tried a million different kinds of mascara before I finally tried this one and absolutely love it. I've tried different ones here and there along with this one but nothing will ever top this one in my opinion. Its great and for the cost you can't go wrong!

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
DIOR SHOW!!!! Original non-waterproof. It's fantastic.
I have Dior Blackout as well but eventhough it's not waterproof, it is incredibly difficult to remove from the lashes as it is more kohl. But seriously, try out Dior Show; I swear by it.

Re: Your Favorite Mascara?
Honestly, I've tried so many mascaras and Diorshow was my favorite. They made my lashes so thick (can get clumpy be careful) and they looked great. I never used to wear mascara on my bottom lashes because I didn't like getting mascara all over my face within a few hours but this mascara stays on. I never find bits on my face anymore. I never have to check. Very good.
