Revlon colorstay foundation help!!
So I started using this in the summer in the shade rich tan, and now winters coming up and i've nearly run out so today i purchased the shade early tan. But when i got home it had dried foundation at the bottom which i cleaned up but when i opened it, the foundation itself was a really thick consistency, now i'm certain my rich tan wasn't this thick, has anyone else noticed this?? they're both the same combination/oily skin formula. It seems to work fine but comes out so slowly and thick, should i keep it or take it back? i've never had problems with cosmetics so i'm kinda scared to take it back.
thanks in advance!

Re: Revlon colorstay foundation help!!
I would take it back and exchange. I've never had a problem doing this. I exchanged some colorstay for a different color earlier this year and it was no problem at all.

Re: Revlon colorstay foundation help!!
I agree take it back. Somebody probably opened it and its lost some of its moisture. And its probably contaminated.

Re: Revlon colorstay foundation help!!
thanks guys! i did try and take it back today, but unfortunately the sales assistant said i couldn't swap it because it was in a 3 for 2 and there was only one more in that shade left and it was the same, i guess they've just changed the formula? i'll see how it goes anyway.
xo

Re: Revlon colorstay foundation help!!
Normally, I'd say return it, and I know you tried, and in the future, still try to, but with this foundation, I wouldn't worry. I've noticed that it changes consistencies rather consistently with the temperature, actually. If I leave it in my bathroom for a while, which is warmer at this time of year, it has a thinner, more liquid-y texture, but if I leave it in my room, which is colder, it gets thicker, almost viscous. Nothing at all to worry about. It still applies the same way, and thins right down or thickens up upon application. The finished application looks exactly the same, the wear is the same, nothing at all to worry about. Hope this helped!

PS: Once it gets thick, it usually doesn't go back to being thin too easily. Just remember that you need less of it when it's thick, and it'll spread farther. Also, make sure it hasn't separated (ie. oil or a thin liquid is sitting at the top or dispersed throughout it), as this is definitely grounds for a return/ non-use. One final test: Give it a sniff. I know that this particular foundation has an odd smell already, but if it smells very off, you can usually be assured that something is wrong.
