*Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
Just thought I'd start a thread for people to discuss their CoverGirl products!
I currently use the CG TruBlend whipped foundation (loooove it mixed with some moisturizer, goes on light and easy) and the Fresh Complexion concealer - both in classic ivory. But my two favourite CG products are my mascara (Fantastic Lash, makes my lashes sooo long and dark) and my various lipglosses, all CG Smoothwear Liptints. I f%#!'n love those lipglosses. I rave about them to anyone that will listen. The colours are great, just the right amount when you want shine with a bit of colour. I'm wearing "hint of honey" in my profile pic. HIGHLY recommended for anyone!
What CG products have you tried/love/hate?

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
i've only tried the trublend whipped foundation..and imo it's a bit heavy for my taste. but i'm purrty happy with it~
how would you mix it w/moisturizer? like..just take a bit on your hand and mix it w/some?

Lash exact is the only CG thing that I own. I actually bought Volume Exact when it came out in my store last month. It's soo awesome. Applies the same, doesn't clump, and it gives awwwwwwesome volume, and doesn't flake or anything. I love love love it! My HG mascara!

Yep I take equal amounts of moisturizer and the trublend and mix them together in my palm. I then usually just rub it in like normal moisturizer with my fingers and use concealer to cover up anything that's still visible afterwards. I agree, it is pretty heavy if you apply it by itself, I've never even tried that cuz I knew I would look like I was wearing a big cakey mask of thick gross foundation... yeugch.

My mom uses a really crappy Covergirl mascara. I just went home this weekend and forgot some of my makeup when I was hurrying to pack, so I tried hers out this morning. It was pretty bad! I wish I could remember the name... it was in a blue tube, "professional" something or other, and was waterproof. It did absolutely nothing to voumize or thicken or curl or lengthen or anything. Terrible! I missed my fantastic lash very much

Volume Exact is my HG mascara. I have 2 backups. My lashes are OK, but they look great and actually stand out after Volume Exact.

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
For those of you who want to save their $$$, I think CG's ice princess eyeshadow quad colors look very similar to the new MAC Pandamonium quad. This is a cheap way to get the Ballonacy look without spending a lot of $$$. For lips, try CG Wetslicks Gloss in Peaches n' Gleam. For more pigmentation, use a primer for the eyeshadows, and line and fill in lips with a peachy-nude lipliner pencil. HTH for those of you out there who love the MAC trend collections but can't always afford it!

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
I use CG Clean Makeup in Buff Beige. I've used it ever since High School. I switched for a while & tried different brands, but always come back to this stuff. I like the way it covers & it truly matches my skin tone. I also use Lash Exact Mascara & I love it!

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
Zloves2shop i would but i don't have a camera at the moment! maybe someone else can arrange that for you =]
i also want to add that i bought one of the CG lipslicks the other day in "clear" (it looks pigmented but it's not) and i honestly LOVE it! it makes my lips so smooth and keeps them hydrated and adds a hint of glossy shine. the product has a slight scent to it, but to me it's like cherry and honestly it doesn't bother me! i'm thinking about trying more but some of the "tints" look kind of scary to me... o_O;

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
although i own 3 of their empty quads to hold some of my e/s', any of my other stuff from them is from family members knowing my passion of make-up.
yes, i do admit i've contemplated buying some of their products, the down side to it all is that they test on animals which really kills me. anyone else feel this way about them?

yes and unfortunately, i still buy some of their products. it really kills me to know that animals are involved in something like that, and it's usually never good. poor animals...

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
yep yep! Fantastic Lash is great! and i totally agree with *ALAYLAM*, the blue one is uber crappy! (Pretty sure it was just called 'Professional" mascara).
Just had a Q, but i cant find the Super Thick Lash in the red tube anywhere! has it been D/C??! wat a bumemr, i quite liked that one too - thickens and lengthens and doesnt leave panda eyes (!!!) at the end of the day
thanks so much!

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
i also recently discovered that the fresh look face powder is fantastic. it's very silky and not chalky and doesn't make me break out or anything. i'm slowly beginning to like more and more CG products...that or CG products have stepped up their game and made their products better
oh and for Zloves2shop - here's a pic of the ice princess quad from walgreens.com (it's pretty accurate IMO):

As for the colors, they last and they don't crease (of course you should use an eyeshadow base) and they have good pigment. left to right the colors are:
* purple twilight - very dark, eggplant like matte purple that is almost too dark for me but it makes a nice liner
* violet shiver - medium violet shade (pearl)
* lilac frappe - matte soft lilac shade (hence the name lilac frappe lol)
* moonlit lilac - more of a pearly pink than a purple or lilac but it's a very pretty color.
HTH!

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
has anybody every tried their powder foundations (fresh complexion pocket powder or simply powder foundation? not interested in the trublend at all, i heard their shades were too orangey). both of them had a lot of good reviews on MUA but also a lot of...crappy reviews as well.

Re: *Thread for CoverGirl Products!*
The only Covergirl product I really use is the Eyeslicks. They are simalar to Mac Shadesticks but they are so much better as a base. Shadesticks crease waaayy to much but the Eyeslicks keep my shadow put all day and I've never had creasing with them.
