Maybelline: Lash Stylist (Mascara)
Rating: 2

Repurchase? No siree.
Comments: Just didnt like it. The brush is pretty kewl in that it DOES seperate. But it kinda... over seperates.. so I end up w/ spider eyelashes. I do like that my lashes are very soft and not stiff. And its a kewl little brush. I just dont like the results that it gives.

I got this in Black & in the Waterproof formula. I have tried many, many mascaras, both high-end and drugstore. My lashes are average but very straight and don't hold a curl at all.
The little comb gets down to the lash roots to deposit mascara and it keeps your lashes separated. I recommend really wiping off the wand before applying or you will end up with clumps galore and your lashes stuck together. This is the ONLY mascara that I have ever used that actually holds a curl and both lengthens and thickens my lashes. The waterproof formula lasts all day but comes off easily with any two-phase eyemakeup remover like Neutrogena, Lumene or Lancome.

First off, I purchased the waterproff formula since i like how it really holds the curl of my lashes.
I found when I first used this mascara it was just how others have described it - overly spidery and really wet kinda.
I just brushed off the excess on a tissue and it works like a dream, incredibly long and really defined lashes. And now that it's dried out a teeny bit it works without brushing it off on a tissue.
I love it, even thought I almost tossed it at first. The tissue thing really worked for me and it's the only mascara I've been using now.

Made a horrrible mess, deposits too much mascara and seemed too wet; It didn't help that much even after cleaning off the wand.

It holds a curl perfectly and usually makes my lashes look really thick. But sometimes it clumps and looks spidery, so. yeah. lol.

It was kind of difficult to get the hang of this. I use lash stylist first with only one coat, I go over it again with a clean Cover Girl lash exact brush and let that coat dry. I do a second coat of CG Lash Exact on top of the Lash stylist. This seems to separate the clumps and clean off any excess I got from the lash stylist. I only put the lash stylist on my top lashes. I can't seem to get it right on the bottom so I just use the CG lash exact on the bottom lashes.
It's a chore to do it this way, but it looks like I'm wearing false lashes and I get a lot of compliments on them now.

Alright. So basically, I have the infamous Asian eyelashes that are basically sticks that you're trying to curl. Haha. After curling my eyelashes then just brushing on a coat [with the cool comb], voila! My lashes have so much more volume and length. I also use the waterproof kind so I don't get crazy raccoon eyes either. I highly reccommend the Lash Stylist to any people that have lash deficiency...I guess we could call it. It really lengthens the lashes and opens up the eyes. :] The tube is really sleek and thin so I kind of just shove it in my pocket sometimes. The only downside that I would have to say is that sometimes it's a little TOO much mascara. I usually only wear makeup at night [too lazy during the morning.] so it's alright, but I know some people don't like their lashes to get too clumpy. Yeah. I think that's the only con of this mascara. Hope this helped!

I got this in Black (both Regular and Waterproof). I must say, the Waterproof version is very loose, thin consistency. It totally wet my lashes. The regular is great for me. It doesn't run or smear, has a great consistency and I love the wand. I have sparse lashes and this stuff really defines, separates and lengthens them in just a couple strokes. I make sure to slide the comb against the opening as I pull the wand out to avoid too much product and that works very well. Pros are definitely the brush. It can fit into the tightest places. Cons, ofcourse, would be clumpiness with overuse or excess product on the wand. Something that is not avoided right out the package.

Comments: I LOVE this mascara. It's so weird seeing so-so or bad reviews about it from other people because I think this is one of the best mascaras I've used. I'm on my 6th tube!!! It just proves how when one thing works for one it might not work for another. I love thick, dramatic lashes but hate having to apply coat after coat. With already just 2-3 *swipes*, my lashes look 10x longer and fuller.
I get thick lashes the way I want with just about 2 coats.

Comments: I first bought this for the comb applicator because I just don't like the look I get with brushes. Thank goodness the comb idea caught on because Maybelline is notorious for discontinuing great mascaras and if this one ever gets cut I'll definitely stick with the basic concept! The only problem is that I have to wipe off the applicator with a tissue (which takes off quite a bit of mascara which goes to waste) to avoid getting too much on there. Once that's done though, my lashes look amazing and the curl holds with no flakes! It's my HG mascara, seriously!

Repurchase? Maybe
Comments: This mascara gave me crazy-whoa long thick lashes! I loved it, and I think the comb idea is really cool. It did make my lashes very hard though, and I was worried that they may fall out or become dry, so I had to pass on this mascara. I would purchase again, though, if vitamin b5 was added or something similar.

I like how this mascara holds a curl very well and makes my lashes much thicker and longer. It rarely ever flakes off for me and can be easily removed with washing my face and then whisking it off with a bit of vaseline. The little comb brush separates my lashes for me so it takes about a minute to apply my mascara and get it perfect. No spider lashes, no flakes, no smudging. I love it!
Edit - Although, I did start to notice my eyelashes starting to dry out and fall off. If this problem consists, I`ll have to switch back to Full n` Soft.

Re: Maybelline: Lash Stylist (Mascara)
i really don't like it so much because the wand clumps up my lashes and it weighs them down so they don't curl
EDIT: I actually fell in love with this mascara. haha. It was by accident but I had no choice, I was out of mascara, and I realized that if you use the wand careful it really does wonders to your eyelashes =]!!!

i found that it was best when you first opened the tube, but even a couple weeks after that it would get clumpy in the tube and on the brush. the brush is cool and separates lashes. great the first time you use it, but i found that you need to really work to get the right amount of mascara on there - too much gives you one eyelash clump, too little doesnt do much for you. but if you have the perfect amount on the brush and there are no eyelashes or debris stuck in the brush, it does give you nice separated thick lashes. but like i said that takes some deal of effort and a brand new tube.
when i run out i think i will take the brush clean it and save it to use to tweak my eyelashes when using a different mascara.

Repurchase? sure what the heck. =)
i think the only reaosn people don't like this, is because they don't know how to use it.
it's a good mascara for it's price and lenghtens really well, you really have to wipe off the acess mascara before you put it on,
when the 3 motnhs were up, i just washed out the brush and now i use it to seperate my eyelashes.
