It seems like a dream, feels great on, the packaging is nice and a little goes a long long way. The problem is that it's ashy. Ashy and chalky and turns me green. It obliterates my yellow undertones and pulls out my green ones and makes me look like i'm on death's door. I have never had a foundation do that to me.
I still have it and use it to spot conceal when my concealer is out.
I didn't wear it long enough to say much more than I hate it. So I have no idea how long it lasts or anything. Judging by this board I am probably an NC45??

This is one of the worst foundations I've tried. It was far too dark for me, and the texture was horrible. It felt heavy on my skin, and it was obvious to anyone who looked at me that I was wearing (bad) foundation. My friend who has darker skin that me tried it and she couldn't get a good match for her skin tone either. And it didn't apply well on her skin either!

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, and I really like it. It's been a while since I've used drug store brands (I've been a real MAC whore for a while now!). I use Medium 2.5 and it's a pretty perfect match. I have a problem with looking much whiter with foundation on, but I don't have that problem here. At the store I got this from, I used this translucent color guide to try and get a match with my skin tone and it worked out pretty great. I also use a wedge sponge to apply the product and it seems to work well. I thought about use a pallate and knife each time, but since I'm just using it for myself, I figured it would be okay. But I do agree a bit with chelssea's post on flakiness. I sometimes have dry patches in the forehead/eyebrow area, and it does show with this foundation, but I haven't found a foundation with which it doesn't show.

This product was amazing. It blended so well and made for a flawless finish . The only product I've ever used completely and I've gone through 3 jars ! Amazing

ok i alwaysd use maybelline foundations but thought i'd try this and oh my! it dired my face out so bad and rather than covering my small spots on my forehead it seemed to empisise them - because of it's dryness. plus it started to look patchy on me. so i'll be sticking to the wonder finish foundation

I love this product. I have combonation skin, and alot of acne and stuff. i find this gives me excellent coverage, and once set with a power will last for hours. im really love it, and haven't experienced any issues with it. While there is the cleanliness isssue, i like the glass jar and find it cute.
I also find this really hides my many and very large pores, which is often rare.

would i buy this again? NO. this stuff was very chalky, made me look orange, and there weren't enough shade choices. It only felt nice on your fingers, thats about the only positive thing.

Would you buy this product again? i randomly buy it..love it then hate it!
iv bought this product 3 times...i dont know why because each time i buy it i love it for about 2 weeks then suddenly start hating it!
iv tried a couple of shades...they all seem to look ok on but then later on i notice the orangeness and difference between the colour on my face and neck. oh and i do need ALOT of primer if i use it on the top of my cheeks because it sinks into my pores and makes them look like saucer pores lol
it would be a good foundation if they sorted the orange tinge out.
at the moment im using it dabbed on top of liquid foundation on areas that i find i need more coverage. i find it a lot better product for using it on certain areas rather than my whole face because it can be drying and orange lol

I like this product, but can't seem to find a color match. The texture and consistency are great though.

Goes on super chalky and made my normal to dry skin look flaky and disgusting. The lightest shade was much too orange on my pale pink undertoned skin. Poor coverage of any redness and settles into pores. Packaging is a breeding ground for bacteria and awkward to put a wedge sponge into.

hehe, Aelwyndaeira you must be from southern ontario...ah, yep, Hamilton. The air up here in Tbay is cold cold and super dry :/

Hi Ladies I wear NC 50 in MAC I like this foundation it gives me coverage not as perfect as MAC, but pretty close. One thing I will say, is that you have to use a moisturizer when using this, if not you will look "cakey". But it's not bad for a foundation under 10.00 bucks, it's way better then IMAN's line, which I still want my money back no matter what walgreens says... But the only disadvantage to this product is that the color assortment is very limited, I mean VERY limited, I'm lucky I did find Cocoa 3, and it matches me skin... It's a good foundation for those, I don't have time to run to the mall and get another MAC compact days

I have tried three different shades, none have matched as well as I want. All looked ashy. The best matched one, I wore for an evening out I was a shiny mess in an hour.

Im a NW25 and i brought it in NUDE light 4- which is a bit too light but it matches pretty well. the color isnt the problem, the product itself is just soo drying on my skin. i have dry skin and eczema which is probably redundant and this product just accentuates that. its horrible. it takes a while to blend into the skin and it leaves the dry areas really patchy, i have to spray some sort of FIX+ or evian water on top just to set it and make my skin look somewhat normal.. horrible product

Absolutly hate this product, i used it all the time when i was like 14, and it was ok, i decided to buy some more, just to check it out but now i realise how horrible it looks on my skin. its cheap ill give it that but its just bad. none of the shades look right, makes my skin dry out, makes the dry skin by my nose look even worse.

I was so excited to try this out but when I did, it didn't really live up to all the make up gurus' hype and raves about it. I still use it for light foundation when I'm just going out somewhere casual (like the mall and stuff) but I see that it tends to look drier towards the end of the day. I always add MSF Natural on top but not TOO much incase it looks even more chalky..

I don't see how this gets bad reviews, it makes me look flawless and airbrushed, I actually saw my sister and she looked gorgeous and said she was using this foundation, I got it in caramel and it's wonderful. Only thing I hate is having to dig in there to get the foundation and after a while it dries up and I hate wasting product.

I'm NC45 and all shades looked ashy on my skin, I loved the packaging and the texture...but the shades were too limited for me-I had to give it away.
I much preferred back in the day when maybelline foundation came in a cool tube...those matched me just perfect!

Re: Maybelline: Dream Matte Mousse (foundation)
This product was didn't work very well for me, it got into pores and it looked awful. Since i don't have some major problems with my skin, I was mixing it with my daily moisturizer and it actually looked ok!

Re: Maybelline: Dream Matte Mousse (foundation)
Okay so I tried this foundation 1 or 2 years ago, and their lightest shade was way too dark for me, so I just left it and changed foundations. Then earlier this year I saw that it was save £2 on it, and they had brought out 2 lighter shades. I decided to give it a shot, and picked up the lightest ('Champagne') and it was a great colour match for me (NC15)! I loved it at first, but after about 1 or 2 months use, it dried up my skin terribly (I had oily skin) and my forehead was literally dry! It still hasn't recovered completely, it's still a little dry, and this is just about 6 months on.
On the other hand, my mum also tried it, and she still loves it! She has dry skin so I have no idea how it's working for her but it does! She's tried many foundations from Clinique, and other brands, she was going to go for a MAC foundation, but then she used my Dream Matte Mousse one day and was converted!
All in all I would give it a 3/5. I would wear it for the coverage and the airbrushed finish, but only for special occasions.
