General Comments on this product:

If you (like me) cannot afford a MAC 187 brush and you don't have one, you should check this out. I have used a 187 dupe from the drugstore in the past and I hated it, it wasn't dense enough and to this day it still turns green when I wash it (the natural hair dyes). This brush is a huge improvement!

First, this brush is super dense! (See pic) The density makes applying makeup with it much easier, it picks up product really well and blends flawlessly! It is also very soft against the skin. Second, it cleans very well, I have no issues with this shedding or turning green like my last one.

The only problem that I have with this brush is that it looks a little cheap. The plastic handle is cheap, but then again what can you expect from a brush that cost $7? It is a flaw worth overlooking in this case.

All in all I love this brush, it is a really great alternative to the MAC 187 that works well and is very cost effective, especially since there is no paint brush alternative for this type of brush. I found mine at Target, HTH!

Thank you for posting that link! That thread is what convinced me to get the brush; and I wanted to do a formal review on it!

Re: StudioTools: Dual-Finish Brush (187 Dupe)
Many of you on the thread posted by Tish said that you bought the brush, so how do you all like it now that you have had a chance to try it? Do you like it as much as I do?

Yes!

General Comments on this product:
I only want to splurge on certain products, and pinch my pennies whenever possible otherwise. In this case, I didn't have to break the bank in order to buy an awesome duo-fiber brush! Though I don't have the 187 or 188 to compare it to, I cannot imagine it getting much better than this brush, and for only a fraction of the cost. I can easily stipple on liquid foundation or apply a sheer layer of bronzer without having to work too hard. I would definitely recommend that people buy this brush before spending their hard-earned money on the pricey (though undoubtedly high-quality) MAC brushes.

The only drawback, as has been said, is that the brush handle looks like the cheap plastic that it is. However, with a brush of this quality and price, I don't mind all that much. Getting it at the misprinted price of 1.99USD didn't hurt much, either. Go out and get one!
