MAC Temporary Vacancies

I phoned MAC's today to see if they have any vacancies and they have temporary contracts for 5 weeks leading up to Christmas.
I have a full time job at the moment but I'm not happy there at all.
Would it be worth trying for the job at MAC and do you think they sometimes extend your contract to permanent (that's what happened to me at my current job).
Also do you think temporary staff get discount or not?
I was also told they had loads of vacancies for other Estee Lauder owned companies (Permanent Contract) do you know which is the best to work for?

The temporary job may lead on to something more permanent or another opportunity to work with make up.
I'm thinking of temping at the moment, (not as make up artist though) so I can save up money to do my beauty therapy course.
