Winged liner tutorial :)
Here's a photo tutorial I did on using gel liners. I love gel liners, they have amazing staying power and are great for detailed looks. Plus, once you get the hang of it, they're incredibly easy to use! I'm going to do a really simple look that showcases the liner itself.
Here's what I used for this look:
Fluff brush
Liner/Smudge brush
Angled shadow/brow brush
Brow and lash brush
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Max Factor Volume Couture mascara
Great Lash Clear for brows
Mary Kay shadow duo in Java for brows
MAC Goldenaire pigment
Clinique Deep Brown brush on creme liner
First, start with a clean moisturized face!
Start with your shadow primer. I used Urban Decay Primer Potion. Rub and blend it in well and let it dry while you're grooming your brows.
Once your primer is applied, you can begin to brush the brows into place. Then take your brow powder and apply in short feathered strokes to the brow. Once your powder is applied, slap a little of your clear brown gel onto the back of your hand and just kind of dip your brow/lash brush (brow side) into the gel and use to groom powdered brow.
Once your brows are in good shape, take your favorite all-over shadow brush like a fluff brush and apply a light shimmery pigment (I used MAC Goldenaire) all over the eye from lid to browbone. I applied more on the lid and tapered off the amount near the brow. Also add a little of the same shade to the inner corners of the bottom lid near the tear duct.
Here's what it will look like to this point:
Next, get a little of your liner onto your brush
like this:
Begin to apply the liner from the middle of the eye, and stroke in short lines toward the outer edge of the eye. When you reach the end of the eye, go back to the middle and make short feathery strokes in the same direction (toward the outside of the eye) but work it gradually in to the inner corner. Once you have a full line, get a little more liner and from about a centimeter from the outer corner of the eye, begin a diagonal line going upward a little. Bring your orignal line up in a diagonal to meet it, and fill in the upside down V. Follow these illustrations:
I also like to take the residue from the last of the liner and put a little on the bottom lash line in the outer corner:

This is what we have so far:
The next step is optional, but I wanted a softer look, so I took a little of the MAC Goldenaire pigment and blended a little of it down over my liner. Here's a pic of that.
The last thing is to add mascara!
And then, here again is the final look! Thanks for reading! and hope this helps someone!! -karrieleigh

for color selection, no. and it's not really that much better overall. I think I still prefer Fluidlines, but once in a blue moon a f/l will migrate on me, this never does. And it also doesn't lift when i'm applying it over the whole lid, but stays wet long enough for me to blend. HTH!
