Here's the information MAC fans have been waiting for & you won't find anywhere else, the lowdown on early '08 MAC Cosmetics release dates from Janice @ Specktra! Release dates are for North American counters/stores.

N Collection - 1/17/08
Collection has two displayers (large collection)

Slimshine - 2/7/08
Recap - 7 brand spankin' new colors with 13 being repromoted from the original release for a total of 20 shades. Repromoted shades are:

• Mousse
• Lovey Dover
• Prudeaux
• Ultra Elegant
• Funshine
• Urgent!

Mineralize Foundation SPF 15 Loose - 2/13/08
Recap - "Lightweight loose powder foundation. Provides medium buildable to full coverage with natural finish. Zinc provides excellent skin adhesion for flawless application. Talc free for sensitive skin.'

There will be 9 different shades and the foundations will come in a matte black 8.5g jar with applicator sponge (sponge built into cap), there is an additional sponge included. <em>These are LE</em>."

Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 - 4/3/08
Nice! I will definitely be checking out this new foundation! No need for an additional product (unless you prefer to wear stronger/redundant protection).

Dazzleglass - 5/1/08
You heard it here first, brand new collection. Sounds like a new lipgloss product.

Skinsheen - 5/1/08
You heard it here first, brand new collection. Possibly highlighting powders (maybe MSF's?) or a skin product?

I am so excited for another year of MAC. Looks like they have some excellent stuff coming our way. I'm most excited for Fafi & Heatherette... but these *new* products sound awesome as well i.e. the mineralize foundation, dazzleglosses, beauty powder blushes & skinsheens... can't wait for more info!!!

time to add something to my MAC dictionary

"FAFALATO"

what struck me was:
- seems like quick repromotes could be a new trend. Slimshines haven't been away or gone for a year yet, and they are back.
MAC will have to start a new denominaion:
Frequently available for a limited amount of time only
- I thought MAC would have left us with a chance to catch our breath after all the spectacular collections of the fall and winter season.... but no :-)
- the competition with other well-established makeup brands must be fierce, why else would you try to take risks with so many new launches.
- the Matte2 or Whatever2 or Everything2 trend:it's like they took all the favorites from this past year, put them on steroids and managed to gives us all we like, but to the power of two

i'm impressed by their way of innovating things
