Fergie Joins MAC Viva Glam Campaign

Stacy Ferguson — aka "The Dutchess" and "Fergie" — is about to add cosmetics to her résumé: she is the latest celebrity to promote MAC Cosmetics' Viva Glam campaign.

"I have been a fan of Viva Glam for a long time — I have been following the campaign for years and I think it's a great outreach," said Ferguson in a phone interview from Australia, where she has been opening for the Police. "I have friends that are proud of being careless, that haven't been infected or who have been and aren't bothered by it. I want to educate people." She also likes that Viva Glam ads are never your typical cosmetics shots: "MAC picks people like RuPaul, Mary J. Blige — people that are a little controversial and aren't afraid to speak their minds," she said. "I'm very proud to be a part of it."

MMM...I still dont like her as the spokesperson for this campaing. The other day she pissed me off The whole idea about this campaing is to raise money and help people using famous people's image, not the other way around. Someone asked her about this and she said..."Oh its just another campaing im doing about makeup." And then went on to talk about another subject. She should have ellaborated on the whole point of the campaing.

The black and red thing reminds me of anger and depression. Then, there is the inability to see the models up close. That's frustrating to me. I would like to see their make up better. The models outfits are looking really uncomfortable. Sorry, that's my first impressions of these promos.

If you can wear the red lipsticks, they are very nice.

The color is described as “Pinky Mauve”, a safe and universally flattering shade.

She looks great but I dont understand why MAC keep repromoting VG VI and it just looks the same.

I bought the one that came out with Eve and Dita. I'm all for supporting the cause but I had to take it back because it was the same as the original VG VI lipglass I already had.

Am I misunderstanding something?? Can someone clear this up for me..??
And is it just a lipglass that's apart of her campaign, no lipstick?

This particular ad sequence isn't about the make up, it's about the campaign. And the lipsticks aren't red.

I'm actually kind of repulsed by how tightly they squeezed her waist into that, and usually I love corsets.
Also, I second on all the questions about VG VI. How many times are they going to repromote VI before moving onto VII? It's like Groundhog Day, but MAC!

this one is called VI LE because they are adding fergie to the dita and eve campaign. it is a different color than the original VG VI. it is a gloss only. sounds like you bought the same VG VI that is permanent, thinking that it was the new one. the new one doesn't come out til next month.

new permanent VG are released every 2-3 years. VG VI came out in sept. 06, so hopefully VG VII will come out at the end of this year, beginning of next.

yes, its LE.

when it launches, the displayer will have:

VG VI lipstick
VG VI lipglass
VG VI special edition lipglass (this is the new, LE shade)
