MAC just launched a fun promotion for fans to coincide with the the Originals collection (originals collection information). The contest, “ARE YOU A M·A·C ORIGINAL?”, is a true recognition of individuality and originality from a brand who celebrates and embraces both qualities. Launching nationally through the MAC , the contest also runs regionally in 6 markets across the United States. These markets are New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Houston.

National Contest – How to Enter?
To enter the “Are You A M·A·C Original?” contest on a national level, visit M·A·C Cosmetics beginning December 26th to submit a picture of yourself wearing your favorite MAC products, along with 50 words on what makes YOU a MAC Original. The winner will be determined by votes online. The winner will receive a $1,000 MAC gift card and the complete Originals collection.

Regional Contest – How to Enter?
On a regional level, MAC will hold the “Are You A M·A·C Original” Contest in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Houston on the weekend of January 4th-6th. MAC customers can visit designated MAC locations for a complimentary makeup application and have a professional photograph taken. At that time you can elect to enter the MAC Original regionally, your entry will also be automatically entered into the national contest. The regional winner will receive a $250 MAC gift card, the complete Originals collection and a story in a local publication.

is it at MAC stores or counters? because i seen a thread posted San Francisco location and it said Union Square and there is no MAC store in Union Square. there are only counters.

I'm a bit confused...my impression for the regionals contest is that the complimentary makeup they put on you is what you would enter the contest with, is that correct?

The impression I got is, you book your originals makeover and then afterwards you get two pictures taken on the "set" they have setup that looks like the one in the image of Zelda Kaplan above. One of them you keep and the other they send in to corporate for the contest. HTHS!

National contest---

Checked it out today to see the newest entries and to vote again. If I'm not mistaken I see a few Specktra-ites there! LOL I voted for one I recognized then saw another. I will vote for the other tomorrow!

If any of you want (and if Mods say its okay) would those who submitted let us know and we could vote for you! (I didn't want to post the user names I recognized in case they didn't want that--but I'm sure you'll recognize a couple!)

I just put up my entry today for online. I def do not expect to come close to winning (seeing as how one gal already has 30500 points!) but its fun to enter and see my pic up there lol
Who else entered online??? I voted for Temptalia because I got the link in the email then I decided to enter. I'd love to vote for a Specktraite tomorrow!

oh i didn't see Temptalia on there.

LOL I saw you first so you were the one I voted for today....

I also saw Krasevaydancer (spelling? sorry!) and I will be spreading out my votes, giving her mine tomorrow!

I don't know, its probably prejudiced of me, but the ones who have like professional model type pictures--I can tell and I'm not voting for them. I like the ones who take a pic by themselves (or have someone take it for them--you know what I mean!), it just seems more "original" for this specific contest.
