Woop Woop! I'm trying to start incorporating sunscreen in my daily skincare. I'm almost ashamed to say that I never do and I live on an island.... *sigh* But I need something that won't make me greasy, leave a white cast on my brown face or breakdown my makeup. So far, I've been looking at Supergoop Unseen SPF40 and Murad's Oil Control Mattifier. I had a mini of the Murad and didn't even realise it had SPF45 so I'm most likely going to grab the full size in the sale. Any others you ladies recommend?

murad also has invisible one blur something

I got my order yesterday! I’ll be trying the foundation tomorrow but I swatched the lipstick right away.

Top and bottom swatches: NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien
Then, in order (top to bottom): Bare Minerals Tutu, MAC Feed the Senses, Bite Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glacé. Tutu and FTS are nowhere close to each other.

Oh nice. I've tried Neutrogena SPF on my body but not on my face except for at the beach. I'll look into one from them as well.

Update on some of my recent goodies...

Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation - I wore it yesterday. No oxidizing on me (yay!). I applied it with a brush (Sigma F80) on half my face and with a beautyblender on the other half. I got a little more coverage on the beautyblender side, but it also seemed to soak up more product? It also emphasized my forehead lines (I didn't prime up there; I think that would help mitigate that a bit?) At first it didn't emphasize my pores (I wore MUFE's Smoothing Primer underneath), but they started to come through a bit as the day wore on. It looked so-so around the crevices of my nose (common with most foundations I've used).

I'm wearing it again today. This time I dotted some on various parts of my face and blended it out with the same brush I used yesterday. I still had quite a bit of product left on the back of my hand afterward, which tells me a little goes a long way with this one. I'm also using a different primer across my pores (dr. brandt Pores No More). So far not much difference between that and how the foundation looked with MUFE's.

I wouldn't call this a flat matte. More like a soft matte.

Bare Minerals Tutu - Very comfortable formula, and I seemed to get quite a lot of wear time from it.

Drunk Elephant birthday set - Beste (the cleanser) is nice, but I'm not sure I would splash out $32 on the full size. Protini (the peptide cream) has a nice texture; time will tell if it actually does anything for me.

Haven't tried the dry shampoo yet.

I really enjoyed my DE birthday set. It is a very good value, especially the Protini.

What’s everyone thinking about getting during the sale? (This isn’t a one-time use, right?)

I’m looking at the Drunk Elephant TLC Night Serum, Caudalie Grape Water, Amika Reset Scalp Cleansing Oil, and Clinique Bottom Lash mascara.

I might get the IGK dry shampoo, Drunk Elephant Vitamin C, and Hourglass Scattered Light in Ray. I really wish the new Surratt foundation would come to Sephora in time for this sale!

Dermstore has a 25% off sale coming up at the same time, so I may repurchase the Skinceuticals Vitamin C from them instead. I’m not sure yet.

What about you?

Since I have been using Darphin, I hardly buy anything from Sephora. Maybe I can find some lipsticks or hair product.

BTW, I gave my daughter in law a bottle of Darphin toner...she LOVED it so much that she placed an order from them & is hooked :) She said the toner made her skin SO clear. It is by far the BEST skin care line I have ever used. I swear that it's taken years off my skin & I don't really have wrinkles yet.

My skin has been doing crazy things lately, I need to figure out what the trigger(s) are. I’m thinking about getting some Drunk Elephant products also. I tried their littles set and many of them have been pretty good and haven’t caused any more problems with my skin. I think I’m going to have to transition to clean/fragrance free skincare.

And maybe I’ll order some perfume, I always forget about ordering that!

If I had to choose, I would take the DE one. Skinceuticals is so smelly. Like a hot dog sausage. LOL. But they both give me very similar results.
