This brush along with me 239s are my favorites! I have three or four 217s and two to three 239s. I can't imagine doing my makeup without them. They are lovely!!!

This is the best brush hands down. If I lost all of my brushes this would be the first I would go out and repurchase. I use this to place shadows in the crease, to blend colours together. I also blend out concealer with it as well sometimes. I also use it to apply highlight because it gives a soft application!
Pros: Blends eyeshadown perfectly, picks up enough product yet is dense enough to make product stick. Amazing for concealer as well... looks airbrushed.
Cons: On the more expensive side. Not as easy to purchase multiples.
I love this brush so much, I couldn't do makeup without it. Between this and the #239, it's all I use to do eyes. It blends better than anything else MAC makes, and can be used for eyes or for concealer. You need more than one of this brush! Overall my most used MAC brush.
I can't wait until I can add this brush to my collection, it's on my wishlist.

I was lucky and purchased this at the CCO. I use this brush always when putting on shadow. I really wouldn't mind having a second or a third as it can be used for applying concealer to blemishes. If you want to start a MAC brush collection, this one is a necessity.

This brush is awesome! It is the best for blending, especially for hard-to-blend colors, because the bristles are stiff enough that they actually move the color around to blend out harsh lines but soft enough that it's still comfortable to use. This is definitely my favorite blending brush!

I love this brush! Not just for blending but also for applying eye shadow. I wish I had several of these because of it's multi tasking. Blends wonderfully!

I don't think this brush gets enough attention. It is absolutely wonderful for applying cream shadows to your eyelids. I think it applies just the right amount of mac paint to your lid. I also use it with cream color bases or paint pots. It works really well if you use it in a light swirling motion all over your lid, then use another brush to apply eyeshadow...perfect!
