Pros: Makes eyeshadow last forever! Color Pop!
Cons: tube can crinkle and crack (its made of metal), product can ooze out if there is too much pressure before taking the cap off
Paints are probably my most used mac product. Although the description says its an eyeshadow I prefer MAC paints as an eyeshadow base.
*The paint is not at all dry or cakey, but it still works on oily lids
*it's more sterile than using something like a pot, where you have to redip your brush
*a tube lasts a very long time
*they make your eyeshadow stay on for at least 12 hours, no creasing.
*the paints make the eyeshadow color closer to the brightness as it is in the pot.
My everyday paint is stilife, which has a slight neutral shimmer, giving your eyeshadow an extra bit of shimmer too, but I also use bare canvas and untitled if I am not looking to add any shimmer. I normally use my finger to pat a small amount on my lid or the 217 blending brush (white bristles).
I'm disappointed mac discontinued a lot of the paints, (chartru-green, mauvism-violet, canton candy-pink, artjam.. etc). The non neutral paints really gave eyeshadows a huge pop or could even make some shadows duochrome. I still value the current colors though!!
