Viva Glam I: Was, Is, and Always Will Be A CLASSIC
Pros: EVERY CENT of selling price is donated to the M·A·C AIDS Fund to support those living w/HIV & AIDS + IT IS ONE OF THE BEST RED LIPSTICKS EVER CREATED!
Cons: sometimes sold for profit; worse, people will purchase from/support sellers-for-profit
I've been wearing and collecting M·A·C lipsticks since 1991. I was employed with Nordstrom San Francisco Centre as a Spa-Assistant at their newly-opened Nordstrom Spa. The Spa-Manager introduced me to the then relatively-unknown cosmetics line with a small range of products - lipstick being their hallmark - which was exclusively used on our clientele and by all Spa employees. I've tried other lipstick brands since, but always came back to M·A·C lipstick. The only problem I have with M·A·C is their ever-present "triangle of death" - the designation assigned to products to be discontinued. It happens too often with many of my faves. Thankfully, M·A·C VIVA GLAM lipsticks have "immunity", with the exception of Special Editions.
A M·A·C MUA did my make-up for business head-shots recently and VIVA GLAM I was the lipstick she chose for me. I don't think it's a coincidence that it's my lipstick of choice for power-meetings (great minds think alike!) It's one of the very few M·A·C lipsticks I've used-up* more than once.
*i.e., down-to-the-nub...and beyond, scraping the casing with my lip brush!
With it's creamy, long-wearing formula and bold true color, VIVA GLAM I makes for THE Classic Red Lip on (almost) everyone; therefore, every M·A·C lipstick-fan ought to have it handy in their stash - if not for the color, at least for the cause.
"What made M·A·C famous." So true.
