For some reason I've never dabbled in Mac pigments so I'm wondering what are the must haves or where should I start?

I thought I finally found my holy grail foundation/color match with Nars Sheer Matte and when I went to repurchase through Sephora I notice it's no longer available. Any recommendations for something with a similar formula and finish? Doesn't have to be just Nars!

I'm fairly new to this site but I'm hoping someone can help me. I apologize if this is the wrong board for this. I recently tried Revlon's Black Cherry lipstick and I love the color but I'm looking for something with less shine and slip, possibly satin or matte finish. Same general color...
