Help me find a lipstick :)

I have light NW15 skin, brown eyes and darkest brown hair. I have quite full pigmented lips prone to dryness. Used to shy away from lipstick but I'm looking to experiment. Any brand or color suggestions? Thanks

Virtually any brand would be good, though if your lips are prone to dryness, you may want to avoid darker matte colours, just in case. Liquid lipsticks may not be the friendliest to dry lips, either. Are there any lip colours you're drawn to more than others?

Thanks shelly. I normally wear berry shades but I'd love to find an opaque pink lipstick that isn't fuscia or barbie pink.

So sort of a muted pink? An old fave of mine, though I've not had it for ages, is e.l.f.'s Runway Pink, from their Mineral Lipstick range. It's nowhere near fuschia or Barbie pink; it's a warm pale-to-light pink, but it isn't bright. (On their website it looks more like a brown-pink, but it isn't!) Very creamy, I don't remember it drying out my lips at all.

For more of a brown-pink, I like MAC's Viva Glam II. Probably the most underrated of the Viva Glams, IMO. It's a satin finish -- not a ton of sheen on the lips, but it's easier to wear than mattes can be. Here's how it looks on me (I'm maybe a shade lighter than you?)

A mauve-pink I like is NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien. (On me it's almost a my-lips-but-better shade.)

MAC Brave is a great opaque somewhat muted pink shade in a satin finish. Here is it compared to some more nude shades. Sounds like I'm a shade or two darker than you.

Poodle, thanks for the side by side comparisons! I've been looking for one too and definitely checking out a couple of those. I'm thinking maybe Bite Pecan and MAC velvet teddy for me. :)
