MAC Items Being Discontinued in 2016

I agree ladies! Huggables & Patentpolishes are FAR superior in formula to the Sheen Supremes. I am surprisingly WITH MAC on a discontinue decision! LOL

Awhile back they discontinued the Prep & Prime Vibrancy eye product... I stocked up but am almost out now. Does anyome know if the new Lightful C Vibrancy Eye Cream is the same product? Better? Or nothing like the Prep & Prime VE? Any opinion would be MOST welcome. I'm not looking for a new eye cream. but the prior Prep & Prime VE product I used after my eye cream as an undereye makeup primer. It was soooooo amaze-balls!

I bought one of the new ones. Unfortunately, I never had the old one to compare it to. Would it help if I took a picture of the box? Hopefully it's still in my recycling bin.

If you look at the Lightful C thread, I think someone mentioned that the ingredients were the same - they were irritated about a price increase for the same product.

I'll go compare the ingredients... great idea! DUH! LOL
I will chck out the Lightful C thread for sure too! I had heard that this was the replacement... but it is irritating that it now seems like it's being promoted as a different product with a price increase. I can see where people would feel upset and tricked by those tactics.

Thanks for the info!! VERY helpful!

Can you tell more about this product? It sounds like something I'm looking for. So do you use it under concealer?

The ORIGINAL Prep & Prime Vibrancy Eye was packaged and marketed as an eye primer. So, yes, it was used after skincare to prep the undereye and lid for makeup. It helped smooth the skin, depuff, and prep for concealer and makeup. They discontinued it, and replaced it with the Lightful C Vibrancy Eye Cream. which I did discover is supposed to be the SAME product, just repackaged and remarketed. I can't say 100% that it IS in fact the same, since I haven't purchased it yet. But after I get thru my other 2 BU's of the original, I'll give it a try. It seems people are still loving it. It just irritates me when MAC tries to say something is a new or improved product and it's the same thing. It seems they also heavily increased the price. But if it's the same product, I'll keep buying it. It's a HOLY GRAIL product for me!!

Edit to add:
I was interested in this product because I have dry crepy skin after I applied powder to my under eye area. I had heard a rec for La Mer powder for this so I bought it. I've been playing around with application. Either I get the dryness or my concealer disappears. Someone complained about this issue on the Sephora thread and @ingenue rec a goldfaden eye creme. It is pricey but I ordered it` with an online code last week. Well when you mentioned the vibrancy eye. I wanted to try it and figured I'd get it with triple points at Nordies that started yesterday. Well, I picked it up yesterday and came home to the Goldfaden. I'm not sure I need both but figured I'd use both anyway. I also then remembered I had the Smashbox primer already. Didn't quite work for me with powder. Anyhoo I did not try anything until this morning. I put the goldfaden eye cream on and then the vibrancy eye as a primer and put the La Mer powder on top. It looked okay. I haven't looked in a mirror all day until just now. I see a little bit of dryness but not like usual and it seems my concealer is still there. It has faded a bit but I can still see some on. I usually have nothing under the eye at the end of the day. So far so good.

Really? I usually do no powder too but I've been trying different techniques and things lately. My under eye is quite dark and concealer only just doesn't last all day. If I let it sit on the skin or bake it, it does last longer but not all day. I'm searching for all day. Thanks for the tip.

Won't miss Sheen Supreme lipsticks because every one i bought changed color on me, whereas other MAC lipsticks do not. Something wrong with that formula.
