Crazy mothers that shove the products theyre trying to steal in their prams UNDERNEATH THEIR CHILDREN!!!!!

I was in a pharmacy today and saw a woman do this, I went from shock and anger to trying to smother my laughter once her 3 or 4 year old saw her doing it and said 'Mummy thats not yours, you didnt pay for that!' his little eyes got wide with shock, he stomped his feet and then said 'Mummy you arent stealing that PUT IT BACK!'. Store secruity heard her son yelling all that out, came over and escorted her from the store - after checking in the pram, under the baby and retreiving the items she tried to steal.

Im betting that little boy wants to be a police officer when he grows up

oh man I can't believe how people think they can get away from shoplifting when there are tons of security cameras. I used to work at a dept store as a cashier. For our orientation, one of the first things the manager showed us was the security camera room. It had an entire wall of cameras; from the fitting rooms to the parking lot. anyways, one night as we were about to close the store, three teenage girls came in while I was folding shirts near the registers. they were snooping around for about 5 minutes, and all of a sudden started running for the door! Then I saw our security woman sprints out of the camera room and caught them before they could leave the store. apparently they each stole 2 or 3 thongs... the sad part was those thongs were only $1.50 a piece...

cameras in the fitting rooms? not actually inside the fitting rooms where people are changing right?

Not in my store, but another in my district, just a few days ago a mom and 2 daughters tried to take one of our stores for over $1400.... all in jeans and hoodies! The average cost being about $30 for these items in our stores... this was a SERIOUS amount of clothing! They basically shopped the store for about 45 min., sweet as pie and getting customer serviced and everything... then when the associate helping them went to grab a different size for them... they bolted out the door with ARMFULS of stuff! She didn't even notice til they were halfway out to their car, and by then it was too late! Luckily, a customer watched them go out the door and was so pissed she ran out in the parking lot and wrote down the license plate number of the car and called the cops herself while our staff was on their phone describing the car. They were pulled over and in custody within 5 minutes, and we got all our property back! I just can't believe the balls... I would honestly be afraid to stop them if they were that fearless, who know what they would do!

A little off-topic, but I think it is funny that a lot of the people that I stop for shoplifting aren't scared or embarrassed, they are actually snotty and really pissed off! Seriously, I get a lot of "How dare you actually stop me?" attitude. Maybe it's just a regional thing, but it mystifies me. I remember when I was 13 and went through a bad phase and was busted shoplifting at K-Mart... I was sooo mortified and panicky that I actually broke out all over in hives! I can't imagine feeling so entitled that I would give a person attitude for stopping me for stealing, but I get it all the time. People have even thrown the stolen items in my face and yelled "Fine, have it back!" and run off... and we're not allowed to follow them, so there is pretty much nothing I can do.

Anyone else get this attitude?

I think what those people are doing is entitlement; they just feel that they deserve the items, and that it's the store's duty to supply them. I have no idea why they would think that, but they just do, and have no worries about how much they are stealing, because the store is so rich, they can deal with a little missing, right?

I went to a MAC counter yesterday for the first time, and was amazed at how easily someone could steal the makeup on display. The one that I went to was right next to the entrance to the mall, too. Anyone could just take one of the shadesticks, walk out the door, and no one would notice for at least a couple minutes. Was thinking of ways to use those ball chains from the bank on those things...

I work for Arden but this happened after I had left for the night...

We have those Ceramide Gold Capsules... they cost $68 for 60 of them so they are quite pricey. I had just refilled the container on the tester unit, so I'm figuring there were a good 40+ capsules in there.

Anyways, a lady walks up the tester unit, opens the container and dumps the *entire* contents into her pocket! So the Clinique girl sees this, walks over and ask if the lady needs help with anything. And the lady replies "No, I was just taking some samples" The Clinique girl tells her "Well, I'm sorry but I can't allow you to take all those; those are our testers, but I'd be glad to give 1 or 2 in a packette for you to try." After that the lady got angry and threw them at her. Those capsules ended up everywhere.

I mean, the lady obviously knew she wasn't just "taking a sample"... so in what world did she imagine that taking $40+ worth of merchandise was okay?

When I worked retail we had a guy who would come in, who had no fingers and a tatoo of a tear drop on his face. He also alternated between bright pairs of parachute pants. He was a "frequent flyer" so I always followed him. One day, he had the nerve to tell me I was mistaken, and the shoplifter must be someone WHO LOOKED LIKE HIM! Like there are a million guys in Jersey who look like that, lol.
Another time my manager and DM were at a flea market and there was a vendor selling stolen merchandise right out of our store baskets, lol. They walked up and dumped it all out, snatching the carriers, and telling the woman that the baskets cost money too.

I work in a huge retail store here in the uk Primark, we get shoplifters every single day and for those who know Primark it is the cheapest store ever! Well one day this woman (stoned on drugs and what not) went into the fitting rooms to try a jacket on but she swapped her old minging stained jacket for the new one ?? Well so she walked all happy as larry thinking she was getting away with it.

Well in our store the security guards cant actually stop anyone untill they leave the store so she left and then the security chased her and took her into the shoplifter room so anyway she started saying she had a brain transplant and didnt know what she was doing WTF?? and then threatening all of the staff with her junkie friends lol was a weird and wonderful day. (In the end she got arrested lol)

Yeah in the one I work in their is usually about 3 of them in uniform we used to have a plained clothes one but people started complaning because he was following them around, they are all fully trained but in my opinion I dont think they catch them.

There is security cameras everywere but they still manage to get away with it. I work in the shoe department and everday there is old shoes that has been swapped with new ones and sometimes it is just one shoe?? why you would want to steal one shoe lol.

Once when i worked at Express 3 girls ran in and stole about 50 pairs of jeans that were folded on the table by the entrance. they ran out and two of them ran into each other and fell down. they smacked each others heads, it was so funny. Still they managed to get out with the goods since they had a getaway driver. I wasn't going to risk anything stopping them.

Oh you girls are hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a few stories of my own
smiles.gif
.. although it's not cosmetic-related.

So I use to work at a grocery store.. and okay

1. This guy actually stuffed a BAG OF FROZEN CHICKEN in his pants! And stupid enough.. he rang out.. and I didn't notice (because he was wearing baggy pants), but as he was walking out of the store.. it fell out of his pants! DUMBASS!

2. This one guy, older, maybe 40, walked through my cashier line with two cases of Redbull. I didn't figure anything.. I was like "hey.. maybe he rang out somewhere else".. but I asked everyone, and they all said "no.. i didn't ring him up." So I told my manager, and we watched the man walk to his truck. STUPIDITY STRIKES AGAIN!!! He got greedy, and came back.. and tried to do it AGAIN!!!!! So than he's trying to walk about with FOUR more cases of Redbull, and we caught him
smiles.gif
. Well my manager did.

3. This one really pisses me off. So there's this man, with two little boys coming through my friend's checkout line. And I'm watching.. and one of the little boys.. takes a package of meat and just slides it underneath the cart.. and is trying to cover it up. I'm staring like "WTF".. and I just walked over there and grabbed it.. and asked "DID YOU WANNA BUY THIS?" And the man hesitantly paid for it. Ok.. it takes a dumbass to try to steal... but to get your kids helping you??

and a LITTLE off topic, when I worked at A&F.. we couldn't out right say "HEY WHY ARE YOU STEALING".. they taught us to say "would you like me to grab a matching shirt for those jeans you have in your purse?".. hahaha.. or something like that! funny stuff.

Just before xmas our stores security caught two ladies in their 60's steeling.
It was so funny cause security had them both in a room questioning them and they were like "this is the first time in our lives that we have stolen anything can't you turn a blind eye".
Once they finish interviewing them they get them to sit in the waiting area for the police. They put a fixed camera on them and get a member of security to sit with them, they reccon it's not necessary there not gonna run away (well youre right there the place is like a maze, you couldn't get out if you tried).
When asked why they did it they said they had consumed a bottle of whiskey when they had lunch and were now utterly pissed.
I swear I've never laughed so much.
