This is a nice neutral brown shade that can be used everyday if you don't want to look over the top. I love to use it with Gingersoft or Pearl of the Earth which is a mauve-ish shade.

Just for reference I am a NC 42-44. I cannot stand this shade. When I wear it I look like I have a black eye. It looks so ugly on me. It would probly look better on someone lighter.

Satin taupe is a lovely cool-toned taupe that I always use when I want a nice neutral look. This is a shade that I could see working for almost everyone.

this is the e/s I reach for if I have no idea for a MU. The colour is fine with nearly every outfit! It is a silvery taupe.

This is my HG of shadows. I can wear it with anything. When I say anything, I mean everything from neutrals like shroom or vanilla to Rule, Cranberry, Swimming or A bluer blue. It just goes with everything. The first time I wore cranberry I looked like my eyes were bleeding and I just blended a layer of satin taupe here and there and perfection! For reference, I'm a NW20 and I'll kick your ass if you get between me and my satin taupe.

I am NC20 and to be honest, I didn't really care for this color. For some reason it looks purple on me. I got compliments on it the other day, then the person that complimented me said that they went out the next day to look for a smiliar color purple eyeshadow. My reply was "it's not purple".
I love the texture, very soft. I use it as a lid color and sometimes a crease color. I like it, but don't love it. I am going to try it as "v" color when I find a good color to coordinate it with.

    Edited 9/25/06
I should of edited this a long time ago! I found a few different colors I can coordinate this with and it looks great. I am still not in love with it, and still not sure if I would repurchase.

My favorite eyeshadow... ever! I'm NC40 and it looks good no matter what! I can use it alone as a lid wash if I have no creative MU ideas or in the crease with other shadows. It compliments any style/attitute of clothing as well.

I would describe this colour as a greyish purple. And
i like using this for a neutral look...it goes very well with naked lunch..and gives an impression of deeper set eyes.

This is my HG e/s. I love it!
This is a shimmery taupe grey with fair mauve hints on me and I reach often for it. Very versatile, flattering and a unique colour. Great for a neutral eye, if you want to focus on the lips, I love it with on the lid with Shroom (allover) and Moth brown (crease). Its also perfect to make bolder colours like aquadisciac wearable in a more formal environment.

I don't think I could live without Satin Taupe!
It's a nicely shimmery cool medium-to-deep taupe with just enough brown and even some slight hints of plum.
It's my go-to neutral crease color. I bought it after falling in love with "Coco" pigment; the two are somewhat similar in color.
I have pale pinkish-ivory skin, dark brown hair, and green eyes; I have a hard time wearing brown eyeshadow without looking tired.
Satin Taupe is The Answer when I want to wear a neutral, brownish eye. It seems a bit on the pricey side for eyeshadow, but it's not unreasonable, and SOO worth it!

One of my all time favourite shadows, it's so versatile and looks good with just about everything I've paired it with, the texture is very smooth and really looks like satin on you lids, definitely a must-have.
Due to lack of interest, tomorrow is cancelled.

This is definitely my favorite MAC e/s. So versatile, I could use it everyday and never get tired of it. I have this in two holiday palettes now so I use it a lot with the accompanying colors. I'll use it during the day in a neutral face and then add some color later for a nighttime look.

This is the perfect neutral colour. I wear it in the crease with a lighter shade on the lid, or I use it on the lid with Black Tied in the crease for more drama.

I use this with naked lunch and beauty marked all the time, for myself and others with similar skintone to mine. It also works really good smudged around the bottom lashline and washed over the top lid for kind of a neutral half-way smoked look. One of my alltime favorites so obviously i'll be getting more when i run out, haha.

Looks a shimmery brown on me, very pretty in the crease. I'm waiting to get the Moth Brown to make the Shroom+ST+MB combo.

My favourite e/s!! I wear it every day, paired with Mulch and Sable if I want a brown smoky-eye, or with Trax if I'm in the mood for a purple look. It goes with everything, literally!!

I got this color since it was so raved about. When I applied it to my lid it made my lids look dirty. It is however easy to blend and has a smooth texture.

This color was the first MAC shadow that I purchased. I love it for my outer v area. It is a beautiful taupe color that blends very well.
