Has Revlon Created a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Dupe?
I have to confess that I am quite a makeup snob. I rarely even glance at the cosmetics section of my local drug store. I am such a MAC addict that I sometimes forget that there are other makeup brands and great products out there.
Last week I was waiting for a perscription at my local Walgreens. Since I had time to kill I decided to wander into the cosmetics area. I was immediately drawn to a Revlon display with a product that look very similar to a MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (MSF). Many of you may know that I am a lover of all things mineralized so I was eager to try these out and see if they could even compare to my beloved MAC MSFs.
Luckily this week Walgreens is having a BOGO so I picked up the following colors of Revlon’s Color Stay Mineral Finishing Powder in:
Brighten: a light salmon pink with raspberry & cream swirls
Suntan Matte: a golden bronze with low level shimmer & caramel swirls
Sunkissed: a shimmery bronze with tan swirls.
They are smooth, pigmented, and high quality. I wore a mixture of Sunkissed & Brighten today which created a beautiful bronze pink blush and when buffed out it looked like a nice natural sunkissed look. And if you know Seattle at all I am in desperate need of a sunkissed look!!
Like most people I am trying my hardest to budget my cosmetics purchases. Revlon’s Mineral Finishing Powder retails for $13.99 which is steal! I am happy to report that these are great alternatives to MAC’s MSFs at half the price. I hope that Revlon continues to put out more colors in the Mineral Finishing Powder Line. If you get a chance to check these out I think that you will be very suprised at what you find!! I know that I was!
