Naughty Nautical revisited
So for my first re-creation I thought I would do one of my favorite Mac images – the Naughty Nauticals collection which came out in May 2008. the collection had a nautical theme and featured lovely blue shadows and pigments as well as some new lustreglasses and a wonderful red lipstick. Here is what the promo image looked like:

Here is how I re-created this look:
Face – I used Revlon Colourstay foundation and then used mac’s Magically Cooling Liquid Powder to set it. On my cheeks I only used a light dusting of Chez Chez Lame powder from Mac as this look is all about the eyes and lips.
Eyes – To start I used Mutiny pigment wet on my lids. Then I applied Bell Bottom Blue pigment into the crease with a fluffy 217 brush. To then get a more defined crease like in the picture, I used Submarine eye shadow with a 219 pencil brush to define my crease and also to add more depth in the outer v area of the eye. Then to highlight I used Gesso eye shadow under my brow bone and For my inner corners and tear duct area I applied Lark About pigment. Next I used a small brush and applied more of Bell Bottom Blue pigment to my lower lash line and lined my eyes with Urban Decay’s Zero black liner. Cover Girl’s Lash Blast mascara was used on my lashes to add volume and length.
Lips- I first lined my lips with Makeup Forever’s Aqua Liner in 8C. Lining your lips is a must if you are going to be rocking a bold red lip! Then I applied Port Red lipstick to my lips for a fabulous bold lip!
So what do you guys think? This does not look exactly like the promo image however I am happy with the results and feel comfortable wearing this on a night out or when going to a restaurant like I will be today! wow this is prob my favourite look of yours so far! I am going to have to start collecting the postcards…do they normally leave them beside the tills?
I really want the pigments and lipstick used…do you have any rec’s for permanent dupes?

However i have bought / been given mine from Specktra members 
And for perm dupes I think the following are good subbies-
for the lipstick i think that russian red is a good dupe. but it does lack the golden shimmers that port red has sadly. but perhaps you could use a golden sparkly gloss on top? bell bottom blue pigment is a little like deep truth shadow, submarine reminds me of a lighter deep truth and lark about is very much like frozen white pigment. Mutiny is also pretty much clear sky blue (pro) pigment but with golden glitters. I hope that helps!
It doesn’t look exactly like the original because your face isn’t airbrushed to death, lol. I think it’s a great look! I wasn’t into Mac at the time of this collection coming out, but I do remember seeing some promo pictures and these ones I actually really liked (some not so much). Anyway, well done and thanks for sharing! x
lol!! yeah the model had a little bit of airbrushing i think! and yes this promo is lovely – it’s dramatic but still wearable. some of the promos i am not keen on because some of them don’t really capture the theme of the collection if you get what i mean… and thanks for taking a look
