Lou’s top lipsticks for spring and summer
The warmer weather is here and I love wearing brighter lips in the sun. You can wear barely anything on your eyes but apply a bright lipstick and it totally changes your look and makes you look like you have made an effort! I thought I would tell you what my favorite MAC lipsticks are for the warmer months.

Girl About Town – Everybody needs this colour. It is a beautiful fuchsia colour and it is bright but still very wearable. It is an amplified creme formula which means it is very smooth feeling on the lips and has great coverage. It has a slight glossy sheen and as it wears away it looks a lovely stain on the lips. I also think this colour looks amazing on all skin tones.

Crosswires – Coral lips are in this spring and summer but it can be quite hard to pull off. I love Crosswires because it has just enough pink in it so that it is not too orange looking. Just like Girl About Town it is slightly glossy looking on the lips so I feel there is no need to use a gloss on top. This is a cremesheen formula lipstick which is one of my favorite formulas from Mac. It applies opaque on the lips but still feels incredibly moisturizing.
Ruby Woo – This is a classic red colour to have from Mac. It is a matte finish which makes it perfect to use as a stain and then you can apply some lip balm on top for a glossy look. Or you can mix a little reflects red glitter into some lip balm to create a sparkly top coat! Perfect for hot nights drinking icy cocktails!

Girl About Town, Crosswires, Ruby Woo, High Tea and Creme Cup
High Tea – This lipstick is a more nude lip for summer. Some days you want a pretty nude to go with a sexy smokey eye and this is that lipstick. It is a lustre finish which means it has a lovely pearly finish. High Tea actually looks like a beige colour in the tube but once applied you can see it has a pink sheen when the light hits it, which is why I prefer it over other nudes like Myth that end up making me look dead.
Creme Cup – This is one of my favorite pinks from Mac. It is a cute ‘Barbie’ pink that is quite cool toned. It is a cremesheen formula which means it is very opaque but still glossy in finish. This is a very feminine shade and is simply beautiful when teamed with In Synch lip liner. People do compare this to Mac Angel lipstick and while they are very similar in colour the texture of Creme Cup is so much better. Angel is a frost finish and therefore very drying on the lips. Creme Cup is the polar opposite and leaves my lips feeling soft and smooth.
What are your must have lipsticks for the warmer weather? Let me know in the comments.
I agree that everybody should own girl about town! My fav lipstick is lickable which is slightly sheerer and then milan mode which would be in the same colour family aswell but more subtle. My favourite mac lipstick formula hands down is sheen supreme and the colours I love wearing at the moment are insanely it and quite the thing. I can’t wait for the new colours to come out in this range!
Yeah GAT is amazing!! It looks great on all skintones and is very eye catching! Plus i love mine because it’s in the special funky packaging!
Sheen supremes are very impressive! I only have one so far but will be getting more for sure!
High Tea looks gorgeous. I don’t think I’ve seen it here before though.
