Brush Focus | The Weirdest Brush I’ve Ever Loved – Prescriptives Curvilinear Cheek Brush

By MAC_Whore on March 24, 2009

It was sheer fascination and curiosity that made me buy this odd looking, sculpted, blush brush. I was halfway hoping it was my new HG blush brush and halfway convinced I would be returning it. I was ordering it sight unseeen online. Meh…what the heck…I rolled the dice and ordered it.

I was pretty jazzed to try it out, as it was not a shape that existed in my vast brush collection which easily numbers around a 100 brushes. I am always on the hunt for a brush I haven’t seen before. What can I say? It’s a sickness.

The results? I was really pleasantly surprised. The fibres are natural, goat hair fibres. They are soft on the skin and are of a medium firmness. I would say they are similar to the firmness of a MAC#109 brush. (Click the blog title to read more)

One of my concerns was that the shape wouldn’t allow the entire tip of the brush to reach the surface of my product without mangling the ends, but the medium firmness allows the entire tip to give/bend and make contact perfectly. I found that gently tapping it into my blush or bronzer at a slight angle worked really well.

The shape is genius! Like a finely-tuned Veyron, she hugs the corners. It is the perfect shape for encompassing your cheek bone or the apples of your cheek. It applies the colour evenly and comfortably. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? Love it!

THE VERDICT: I love this brush and HIGHLY recommend it.

WHERE TO FIND IT: Nordstrom.com

HOW MUCH: $30.00USD

ANYONE TRIED THIS? WHAT DO YOU THINK? CURIOUS?
