Marigold
Review | Stila Convertible Colour in Marigold Duo

Just in time for summer, Stila has a great option for achieving the perfect, SAFE, summer bronze. The Convertible Color Duo in ‘Marigold’ will launch this May with Stila’s Indian Summer collection. If you are already a fan of Stila’s Convertible Color or if you have been meaning to give it a try, Marigold is a great multi-tasker. (Click “Read More” below for futher details and swatches)….
The Convertible Colour Duo in ‘Marigold’ contains a suntan brown side and a gorgeous shimmery bronze side. I worked with the Marigold Convertible Colour Duo for about a week and found a good amount of really successful options.
First and foremost, this makes a good bronzing option for those with normal to dry skin. The suntan brown shade melts into the skin for a subtle glow that is (thankfully) devoid of any orange tones. We all know that orange is the perfect way to suck the “natural” look out of any faux tan. Just a reminder that this product does NOT contain SPF, so make sure to prep the skin with an SPF moisturizer first.

Aside from bronzing the face, this is a really natural way to contour. Contouring with a powder colour can sometimes lack the dewiness needed for convincingly subtle contour. I contoured the cheek bone area by first applying the suntan brown colour in a line along the hollows of the cheeks with a thin-edged foundation brush, then blended out. I then added further texture to the cheek by adding a slight amount of the shimmery side to the apples of my cheeks. Radiant!
Either colour makes for a great subtle, nude blush that really compliments a bold eye (smokey or vivid colours) without making you look overdone.
Lastly, try the shimmery bronze side on the lips and then top it with one of Stila’s 24kt Gold glosses. ‘Golden Charm’ 24kt Gold gloss is the perfect pairing.
Stila’s Convertible Colour Duo in ‘Marigold’ is limited edition and will retail for $25.00USD this May at Sephora and Sephora.com.
