Question about MSF in Shimpagne

Thread Starter
Hi, I'm brand new to Specktra and this is my first post. =)

I've become crazy about MAC only a few months back, so I missed Shimpagne MSF. I'm wondering if it's similar to the shimmery portion of the New View Collection MSFs. I really like the texture & shimmer level (not glittery but very shimmery) of the New View MSF and am wondering if Shimpagne is the same way. I just got the NewView in Light Medium and love the MSF part! I'd love to have a full size version of it (if Shimpagne is like it).

Thanks for any input!

Re: Question about MSF in Shimpagne

Personally i feel like Shimpagne is different. I tried the MSF duo's you're talking about and i didn't buy one because i felt like my money could be better spent on a regular MSF. The sparkly part of the duo seems (to me, anyway) just like a TON of sparkles, and not too much color, while Shimpagne has a nice golden payoff UNDER the sparkles. Hopefully that makes sense!

Re: Question about MSF in Shimpagne

I agree. Soft and Gentle is a great dupe for Shimpagne. I am an NW20-25 (depending on if I use self-tanner). I have always thought of Shimpagne as my great, everyday, go-to for a glow, but Soft and Gentle is even better. It is slightly different that Shimpagne, but in the best ways. It's like Shimpagne version 2.0, new and improved for NW gals.

Shimpagne has a tan undertone that can look unnatural at certain angles/in certain light, whereas the Soft and Gentle has a slight peach undertone that looks much better. Give it a shot.
