I chatted with a MAC artist, and asked her if Flourish is similar to Queen's Sin, Port Red or Red No.5.
She said that, of those choices, Flourish is most similar to Red No.5, but different enough to justify owning both!

She also recommended Half Red liner to go with Flourish.

Eww that vinyl bag definitely doesn't look worth $70! It looks gaudy. I imagine we'll be seeing a lot of those at the CCO.

And jenntoz, I agree about the brushes- that seems a little counter productive - imagine trying to use the brush with that thing dangling! No thanks!

Still tempted by the mystery powder, but we'll see, as this is all coming out of my Christmas $$ and I would rather save it for a little while. Plus I have like 5 different powders going on right now, do i really need another?

Newbie to Specktra! Hi all!

I was so excited that I was on top of things this year and was looking forward to the release of this collection. I was severely disappointed, not by the colors, but by the packaging. It looks like something that should be sitting on my grandmothers dresser. Bleh...

I still plan on going to my MACPro store here after the release (I don't imagine it will be flying anywhere) to do a little swatching, but I think it may be a little to easy to restrain myself from any sudden urges.

I'll pass on that, didnt like the packaging. I want HKs kouture mystery powder. I think its the same product but different packaging. I dont know, we'll see..!

I'm a bit intrigued, as I've had it confirmed that this year's lightest shade of mystery powder is, in fact, paler than last year's model chic. I think I'll go have to get some swatch action in this week.

Well the lipglosses are out today on the website, pictures of everything else. That clutch is pricey for the material.

FYI...playing around with the words of things they put online today I figured out that EXCLUSIVES works for free shipping. I decided to go ahead & order the monochromatic lipglass.

I love the lipstick colors. Nothing else really appeals to me. I didn't buy last years but I thought last years was pretty neat.

Hmm, not completely freaking out over this. I think I will just get one lipstick, lipglass and sheerspeak powder. Just for collection purposes as there are only one or two colors I like. I will get the mystery powder with HK. Given the feedback here, I don't think it will be anything like the Manish frenzy.

I was pleasently surprised this was online today and I have to say I have fell back in love with this collection! I really like those compacts. I want to get one but I haven't decided which yet. I'll probably get a mystery powder. I also want a brush but that dingleberry thing is dumb! But I want one none the less. Hehe. I think I want at least on lippie also. Wow. I realllllly didn't think I would want so much from this collection. Happy holidays everyone.

Yes, that's what it is... and that's what I'm not caring for. Maybe not Grandmother looking, but definitely a style other than MAC. Kind of Estee Lauder-ish.
